How do you feel about the tv screens at the supermarket checkout area?

Do you feel like it's intrusive or do you enjoy watching it?

At first I was annoyed by them, but somehow that's now changed...maybe it's because they give me little tidbits of info - news, weather or tips...I now find the programming on there somewhat entertaining....heck, if they're going to throw advertising in our face at least they're making it informative.

I will watch anything / anybody on a screen. Like a moth to a flame.

Supermarket checkouts, gas pump TV, even those mobile billboards on the back of a truck - I especially like the ones in Vegas with super bad low res ads for escort girls.

I feel the exact same way actually. I used to feel bombarded as they blatantly showed advertising in the checkout aisle but then i began to appreciate the news and weather feeds. Now i hardly even notice it but I'm sure the subliminal messages still seep through to my brain.

Personally I love when I can get any media and entertainment anywhere. It helps pass the time.

Ahhh, if only they could do that off the side of the freeway. Just so traffic wouldn't be so damn boring. But then again, it would probably cause a bunch more traffic, cause no one in LA knows how to drive.

helps pass the time while I wait for that person who's credit card mysteriously doesnt work, yet they try repeatedly to scan it before giving up for another card that doesnt work either, only to end up just paying for it all in cash that they had the whole time...
