Palin: Obama...Barack Obama has an ideological commitment to higher taxes. The lessons I believe we have taught our kids would start to erode. Those lessons about work ethic, hard work being rewarded and productivity being rewarded...
Female yelling off-camera, in audience:
And he's a ni***r!
Palin: And...and......lessons about, um, the virtues of freedom and independence while being generous and compassionate with others.
Youtube:
A supporter of Sarah Palin shouts the n-word in a reference to Barack Obama while Palin herself attempts to connect her opponent to "other countries where people are not free."
This time it's clear that Palin actually heard what the person said, because the racial slur broke her stride and caused her to stammer for a brief second before continuing in her sentence.
However, she did nothing to condemn her supporters' racism, and even seemed to egg it on by suggesting that Obama is not a real American but belongs in some other country, such as perhaps Iran.
lol... I say let em rip... Keep saying it, louder and more frequently! It will empower even more non-racist voters, particularly those that haven't quite decided yet, to get their asses to the polls and not vote for Obama, but to vote against the hate, and fear tactics, and lies, the kooky religious of the other side.
We all knew racists were still out there, but it seems that there is no line drawn where Palin or McCain will stop and say hold up.... thats not right...don't do that...Palin and McCain have helped to fuel this movement in their rallies that makes them look more like KLAN rallies. Perhaps if you guys had played it fairly from the start, you wouldn't be stumping to a bunch of undereducated, racists..
I suppose if the republicans ever played fairly, they would never win...
She should have addressed it and not just glossed over and ignored it. McCain did a good a job with it when one of his supporters called Obama a muslim. He corrected her and said that Obama is a good american that just has different views than him...

It's likely that her mic and the crowd are on separate channels, and she never even heard what the crowd member said. Furthermore, she's giving a speech and having her voice amplified. I doubt she even heard it.
