Agreed the UI is a hell of a lot better. Not as cluttered, which is what I hate about most news sites. I laughed at the Guardian comment when I saw that, because that was the first thing I thought of when I saw it. I do enjoy the H1N1 story and across from it is the "If you died today who would take care of your family" ad.

That red is so dominant and powerful. Makes me think Cnn is trying to rule the news world with a very clean layout.

gridded layout seems to be the way to go these days..
