My Modern Metropolis
We'll be heading down to Kyoto for a weekend to film an upcoming installment of our travel series. Any advice/recommendations on what to do/see? Don't hold back, we mean ANY advice (e.g. sights, bars, transpo, etc.)

Check out the Golden Pavilion. We took a bike tour of the city (unguided) which was also a lot of fun.
One of the highlights was our hostel. We spent a lot of time just playing board games during the rainy days, drinking beer from the vending machines. They were the cleanest hostels I've ever stayed at.
Not in Kyoto, but if you have time I would definitely stop by Hakone. Take a cruise on Lake Ashinoko with Mt Fuji in the background and stop by Yunussen, which is a hot springs water park. Definitely the highlight of the trip!
Sam pretty much covered it. Kyoto's full of beautiful palaces but the highlight of our Japan trip was definitely Yunessun. It's where they have the famous wine bath - also check out their killer water slide and the sea salt bath.

first day in kyoto we saw 5-6 very cool shrines and temples:
