My dad sent me this and I was wondering how YOU all have fit into these various trends in the past?
I'll admit that I'm one of those 'Apple' types and tend to wear jeans, black shirt and grey v-neck sweater almost at all times so I haven't really moved from one to another as shown on the chart. Here in Dalston, London, though (known to be a haven for the trendy hipsters worldwide) I've seen a lot of these trends come and go.
Sometimes watching the photos of when I was smaller me it comes to laugh for as I tanned… hats… the trick… the garments… but that was the rappresentazione of the years ch was living and is narcotic to live again them through these details!
Awesome! I was actually wearing one of those fake fur hats with the ear flaps yesterday!
To me the three wolf moon t-shirt is the epitome of hipster-ness. Its like People of Walmart becomes haute couture through some strange cosmic accident. But it is even more hip than that because you have to get the whole ironic comments on Amazon thing to actually understand it so you get geek cred bonus points for that too.
So for those of you hipsters too young to remember here's a little history about how the ironic comments on Amazon thing started. As you know Amazon started by only selling books. Way back in 2000 there was a children's book on Amazon called "The Story About Ping" that tells the tale of a little yellow duck on the Yangtze river in China. Well Ping is also the name of a network protocol and a command in the Unix operating system. So someone wrote a review of the book as if it were an allegory on the ping protocol. Instant hit. You can see the original writeup here. This is what eventually led to the awesomeness of three wolf moon.
