I've got a 15 minute commute to work. Not too bad, no traffic at all. If I time the lights right I can be there in 7 minutes.
We usually go to LA on the weekends so Monday morning commute is about 1 hr 45 mins with traffic.
How long is your commute?
About the same, 12-15 minutes unless something goes horribly wrong with traffic. Even then, I can usually adapt & find a sneak around. Of all my jobs, I don't think I've ever traveled more than 30 minutes.
I like to walk to class in the morning. Clears my head, gets me ready for the day. That usually takes about 30 minutes at a leisure pace, stopping to get coffee along the way. If I'm late and speed-walking I can make it in 20. Sometimes if I'm feeling lazy I'll take the T or the bus which gets me there in about 7 minutes.
Mine is about 10 feet. I am fortunate that I can work from home and travel to my clients when I need to. I started doing it part time about 6 years ago and for the last 4 years have done it full time. It is the BEST working arrangement I've ever had and I could NEVER go back to working in a regular office.
moto 15min
car 30min
walk > bus > bus > walk 70min
you get a lot of reading done on the bus + no stress except you can't sit down or else your clothes will smell very bad - very bad
