Intolerance
This video makes me sick to my stomach. A recent Orange County, California charity fundraiser sponsored by the Islamic Circle of North America turned into an outright day of hate when right-wing activist group "We Surround Them OC 912" came out to protest the function.
Why are people so intolerant? Shouldn't we embrace other religions, especially if they are worshiping peacefully?

When we say we live behind the Orange Curtain, this is what we mean. Hate hasn't come to Orange County, it's been here all along. We were the Western White House for Nixon. When Reagan announced he was running for president, & when he was running for re-election he did it at Mile Square Park here in Orange County. He did it here for a reason. We have the John Birch society, The Tea Party, We were home to John Wayne who lived on a converted Navy Minesweeper. The Orange County Sheriffs Helicopters are called DUKE1 & DUKE 2. We were one of the starting places for PENI, & NLR gangs. Just about every politician representing Orange County has been a republican. We occasionally get a democrat but it is rare. Our only Democrat now is Ms. Sanchez who beat out B-1 Bob Dornan. So when you have people who are raised in this environment, & then live in this environment, it is easy to have hate feelings reinforced by neighbors, co-workers, family etc. Orange County is such a beautiful place, is such a shame so many of the people are so ugly.
