My Modern Metropolis
I am a sucker for reality TV shows, only certain ones, I find myself to be interested in stuff that aren't important to me. And as contradictory as this may sound, I've just come to realize that nothing is personal anymore. Almost everyone who's anyone is more than happy to share their everyday life to the world. I'm also talking about websites like twitter, facebook etc.
Is everyone just hungry for fame that they would expose every little detail of their lives? It has reached to the point where people do things just to get some sort of attention, whether its from the media or anywhere else. Most of them succeed, some have made millions out of it, but what does it do for you in the end?

Thoughts, anyone?

This is a result of technology on our lives. You can Google everyone and everything. Think of how many times a day the average person is on a camera without knowing it. Some people just take advantage of it. I too fall for these "shows" and liken it to rubber necking on the highway. You shouldn't look but you do. In the other hand this decentralization of information has many benefits. The people have taken back power in many repressive regimes as witnessed recently in the Middle East. You now can take all of the courses at MIT for free on-line. The speed of information has changed all of our lives for ever-good and bad. This site is an example of the good!
