I will remember him as an incredibly talented person. We all have monsters in our closets that, were the public eye constantly on us, we would be forced to share with the world. I cant think of anybody who is more widely recognized and loved around the globe than Michael Jackson. He is the King of Pop, a practitioner of contemporary dance, and, often the forgotten of the three, a human being (with a family and with flaws). When I was growing up, he was the one person that I never even imagined could ever die. He will be missed.
Loved your answer. Especially this part, "We all have monsters in our closets that, were the public eye constantly on us, we would be forced to share with the world. I cant think of anybody who is more widely recognized and loved around the globe than Michael Jackson." I couldn't agree more.
I will remember him as a musician genius, King of Pop, a legend, one of the greatest of our times.... As a person he was (it sounds so strange.... he WAS) really weird and no one will ever know what was true and what's not. But hell - if you are on a stage since you were 7 years old, with no childhood, acting as a dancing/singing monkey because your dad said so, there is no way you will be a normal person....
I will remember him as many things:
A cute little boy singing in the Jackson 5.
ONE of the greatest talents in the world.
A sad (CHILD) inside a man who wouldn't or couldn't Grow-up.
And certainly Weird!
He had issues that he wouldn't or couldn't deal with, but there are always reasons.
My questions are:
Did he ever see a psychologist?
Was he beyond help?
Was all that surgery because he was unhappy with the way he looked,
or was he denying his original self or ( his roots)?
Why would he want to?
Those are great questions that we'll probably never know the answers to. His life was so unique - he rose to fame so quickly and at such a young age, the guy never knew what "normal" ever was.
