I'm a huge fan of site launcher. SiteLauncher gives you a super-quick way to to open your favorite websites using only your keyboard. One special hotkey brings up the 'Launcher', followed by a unique key to launch a site.
I also love Stumbleupon! StumbleUpon discovers web sites based on your interests, learns what you like and brings you more.
My question to you: Do you use any firefox add-ons? Which ones are your favorite?
Oh man, I've got a long list and I'm in a good mood so I'll even supply links. Here we go!
1Password - Mac Only password manager, and so much more. It's a paid app, but integrates so tightly with any browser it's well worth every penny. AniDisable - Controls animated GIFs, so they don't make you crazy. Clippings - Store text blocks so you can paste it with a hotkey. Download Statusbar - Mini Download bar that replaces the huge ugly FF one. Download Helper - Extract vids from a ton of sites. Also Converts them on the fly. FEBE - Backup all of your important FireFox Add-ons. Essential for new installs, and just keeping all your FF stuff safe. Greasemonkey - Scripts pages to make them display the way you want. HUGE user contributed base of scripts. Image Zoom - Size images In, Out, To Fit. You get the idea. NoScript - Disables scripts that can cause security problems. Nuke Anything Enhanced - Irritating content on a page? Nuke it! Stylish - Similar to Greasemonkey, not script-based, just another way to customize pages.
Switched to Chrome a while back but when I used Firefox I was a big fan of..
Stumbleupon.. suuuuch a good procrastination tool! I swear, I would sometimes sit there for up to an hour just clicking refresh!
AdBlock.. magically takes away all the ads on every page. Pages take less time to load and you aren't bombarded with annoying blinking ads all over the page.
TinyMenu.. makes the whole toolbar half the size. Clean and compact!
1-Click Weather.. weather right on the bottom right of the screen. All you have to do is hover over it to see the temperature. Very convenient.
Customize Google.. removes ads and spam and customizes your searches.
Ubiquity.. my friend downloaded this for me insisting that it was amazing. Shortly after, i dumped FireFox without really knowing the commands of this add on. It supposed to make web surfing so much easier by just learning a few short commands to type in the search bar.
XMarks - Syncs all my bookmarks. I add a bookmark at work, and it magically appears at all my home computers.
Web developer - Lets you see the CSS and info about the pages.
WOT - Gives you an idea of what pages are safe to surf.
Download Statusbar - Better control of your downloads.
And of course StumbleUpon, what would I do without it? Probably something useful :)
One of my favorites is the Craigslist Image Prefetcher. It pulls all the images in the listings to the category page. Makes it really easy to peruse the listings!
