What do you think about NPR exexutive Ron Schiller's comments?

Two NPR executives are shown having lunch with potential NPR donors, who were really working undercover. In the video, they pose as representatives of a Muslim organization that is considering making a $5 million donation to NPR.

"Tea Party people" aren't "just Islamaphobic, but really xenophobic," NPR executive Ron Schiller says. "I mean basically they are, they believe in sort of white, middle-America gun-toting. I mean, it's scary. They're seriously racist, racist people."

He goes on to say, "The Tea Party is fanatically involved in people's personal lives and very fundamental Christian. I wouldn't even call it Christian. It's this weird evangelical kind of move."

The lady was just speaking the truth.
It's his personal opinion, but my problem is 1. Wouldn't you at least check out someone who says they are going to donate 5 miilion dollars. When I'm going to a meeting I want to know who I'm having the meeting with. 2. This was a business meeting so he was a representative of NPR, so in this capacity he should have kept his personal opinions to himself. When you are representing the company you tow the company line, & I doubt it very much that what he was saying is NPR's company stance on the Tea Party. So, he should have been punished for being stupid.

As for the content of his comments, from the tea baggers I know personally, I have to say he was pretty accurate.
