What does it mean that Atheists know more about religion than believers?

Atheists and agnostics, Jews and Mormons are among the highest-scoring groups in a 32-question survey of religious knowledge by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life. On average, Americans got 16 of the 32 questions correct. Atheists and agnostics got an average of 20.9 correct answers. Jews (20.5) and Mormons (20.3). Protestants got 16 correct answers on average, while Catholics got 14.7 questions right. You can take the survey yourself over at the Christian Science Monitor.

How did you do on the survey, Kevin?
I also got two wrong. I was raised by parents that now days we would call right wing evangelicals. At about 15 I began to question what I was being taught and that evolved into my eventually becoming an atheist. Like John said, I thought the teaching of Jesus was great but his followers for the most part were a real turn off for me.
I'm an athiest and i got a 100%. I was raised in the catholic faith and have studied many religions. i just find that with everything that i have seen in my life its just too hard to believe in anything.

It means the same thing that visitors to a place see more of the important sights than do long-time residents.

NOTHING!

PS: EVERYONE is born an atheist (without theistic notions) some people adopt religiosity and others do not.
