Love Lake Tahoe. My family has been going there since I was 14 years old. The best parts of Tahoe are the large number of world class ski resorts and the casinos that are on the south shore.

Kirkwood is pretty nice, it's a bit out the way so not too crowded.

I love to snowboard at Mamot Basin in Jasper, Alberta. People are nice, the lift tickets are on the cheaper side, and it's not very crowed. Perfect .

Personally love the birthplace of snowboarding, here in Northern California. Northstar and Sierra at Tahoe are currently running a 2 for 1 season pass and are both beautiful places to be in general.
