Would you buy 7-11's new wine, Yosemite Road? It's $3.99.

Neatorama:
"These days, it seems like everybody and their uncle are making their own wines. Even 7-Eleven (yes, that 7-Eleven). Here’s "Yosemite Road," the company’s brand of affordable Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon,

And, whoa, Yosemite Road is quite the bargain: Says the press release, both the Chardonnay and a Cabernet Sauvignon will sell for $3.99 a bottle. Who needs a Trader Joe’s, anyway?

"We prefer to think of it as value," says 7-Eleven spokesperson Carole Davidson, when Unfair Park said of the Napa Valley-produced product, "Wow, that sure is cheap." She also laughed. "But, yes, it is inexpensive. …"

My question to you: Would you buy Yosemite Road from 7-11?

I'd give it a shot. Heck, if it's bad it's only 4 bucks outta my pocket.

No.

I'm at a point in my life where quality counts more than quantity. There was a time in college though when this might have caught my eye. But I was young, stupid, and broke then.

So that's not normal price for californian wines?!
French cépages and californian soil and sun make it easier for fermentation.
Does it mean they add chemical stuff to boost it and increase the output !

They say it is made in Napa but I find that hard to believe. Napa has a great tradition of producing fine wines. To achieve this price they'd have to make it in a automated factory somewhere using the cheapest possible ingredients and very little quality control. Sorry, but not for me.

We could be totally false, it might be a way to explain yosemite :good quality product at its real price expecting to sell a larger amount.
Has anybody visited the production site and tasted it ?
The price seems ok to me for this year product, the longer it has maturated in barrels(oak!)more precious it becomes.
