My Modern Metropolis

I know celebrities hawk fragrances all the time but a cologne with a movie-tie in? Well, I just can't wrap my head around it.

LA Times : "In advance of "Iron Man 2" hitting theaters on May 7 (which stars Robert Downey Jr., reprising his role as Tony Stark, and Mickey Rourke as Whiplash), the clear, flacon-gripping hand has been rendered in the same red and glossy gold shades of billionaire industrialist playboy Tony Stark's trademark exo-skeleton for a limited-edition production run that will be packaged in boxes bearing reprints from the Marvel hero's early comic book appearances (from the look of it, we're going to guess it's not the very first one -- Tales of Suspense #39 from March 1963 -- which had our hero canned in a dull armor-gray number)."

Sure this gives Diesel some PR but really? Really? (I feel like Seth and Jerry Seinfeld on SNL.) Would you buy a fragrance because the bottle looked like Iron Man's fist?

The name doesn't inspire confidence.

Does it smell like a man in a metal suit?
I buy fragrances based on how they smell. Sometimes a brand or a celebrity will draw attention to a fragrance, which will make me want to check it out.
Not movies though, no real connection with a brand image.
Well I think it's cool! Haha!
The packaging is cool but... mmmmmmno. Would never buy it.
After seeing this, am I super tempted to get one. (If I'm a guy of course.) Even if the scent is not too pleasing, but you gotta hand it to the marketing, it's pretty cool.

When GLEE comes out with a fragrance, I will be in line to purchase!
I love perfume, if it smells good and works well with my body chemistry then why not? I don't care about a products endorsements as long as it gets the job done. In this case if I just so happened to get a really nice scent along with a cool bottle then so be it. I endorse it, especially for Iron Man.
