We knew it would come. It all started with Kogi - an interesting twist on the classic taco truck. Then came Sprinkles. But a grilled cheese truck?

"Inspiration happens when you least expect it! What started as a fun, weekend activity to enter our Cheesy Mac and Rib Melt into LA's 7th Annual Grilled Cheese Invitational quickly became the idea behind The Grilled Cheese Truck. After seeing the masses of grilled cheese fanatics gathered to pay homage to our favorite childhood (and adult!) comfort food, we realized that this world needed more grilled cheese sandwiches brought to the streets. Not just the classic bread, butter and cheese, but amazing creations that are constructed with the best ingredients, local produce and made with nothing but love."

Sure, they're serving more than the classic America cheese sandwich. You can get cheddar, Mozzerella or Gruyere. They'll also have mac and cheese with BBQ pork on top, a caprese melt, a roasted butternut squash melt and a dessert melt with roasted banana puree, Nutella and marshmallow. Priced anywhere from $3 to $7, it's all not too expensive.

Though I love the classic grilled cheese sandwich, I don't know if I'd cough up the dough to buy one..from a truck. Couldn't you just make these from home?

Would you buy one? Do you think that they'll receive as much success and press as Kogi?

I'll buy anything out of a truck. Not sure why that is.

well they're not healthy, but there are a lot of food selling trucks around me. in brooklyn there are the taco trucks, theres the MUD coffee truck all over manhattan, and the gyro trucks, the bagel carts, hot dog stands, nut stands... everything. and in jersey where a friend of mine goes to school they have fat sandwich trucks, which are the most delicious yet greasy things ever. so i say YES to truck food.

Grilled cheese is my favorite. I'd be first in line if the grilled cheese truck came down my street!

If I was in the mood for a grilled cheese - sure! Why not!

But, what music does the truck play to lure you into it's delicious cheesy orbit?

Tough call. It's not a bad idea though....I think in the short term they will kill it...in the long term they'll see a huge drop in profit and go out of business.

Hells yes! Trucks are fine, street vendors are fine. Wouldn't bother me :D

Since walking 10 steps to the kitchen seems like a workout for me, if a truck could literally come to my neighborhood and make me food, I will gladly be a smiling patron.

That truck really turns me off. I can see the fun with the whole truck but then it would be this uncool thing that is secretly cool.

Also I like my grilled cheese as a relaxed home snack opposed to an "oh I'm going to walk with this grilled cheese" sandwich lol
