"It's getting to be change we can't believe in—a new “Hope is Fading Fast” T-shirt turns the president’s iconic poster into an indictment from the dissatisfied left. The shirt comes from FreshJive, a well-known LA streetwear purveyor with a decidedly liberal bent—founder Rick Katz once commented that, “Really what drives me is making that one T-shirt that says, ‘Fuck off, Bush.’”

FreshJive’s site accuses the Obama administration of “maintaining continuity with its disgraced predecessor,” citing among other grievances, his failure to close Guantanamo bay, his escalation in Afghanistan, and his use of “a radical version of the ‘state secrets’” privilege. You can order the shirt starting on Black Friday."

My question to you: Would you buy or wear this t-shirt?

No.
FreshJive fell off last decade and I wouldn't liken their (attempted) return to John Travolta's appearance in Pulp Fiction.
I wouldn't because hope isn't fading fast.
I totally agree.
I wouldn't buy or wear this shirt. Hope isn't something you can scoop from a bulk food bin at the store, or order and super size from a drive through. It must be cultivated, tended, fertilized, and thrown in the wind to spread like dandelion chutes. If you think it's gone...just look around.
I think they have a point. Guantanamo is still open, Don't ask Don't tell has not been done away with, the financial sector has not been reformed, were still in Iraq and stepping up the war in Afghanistan and the healthcare bill has been gutted. I think Obama has done a good job internationally but as far as domestic policy goes so far he's been a disappointment.
I wouldn't wear the t-shirt (obviously since it is a no-name brand - jk), but honestly, I am disappointed with the President's inactions. I know he wants to be a bi-partisan President, but the reality is that this is not going to happen. There is a good article in the http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/24/opinion/24iht-edcohen.html?em" target="_blank">NY Timesthat I read tonight that really makes you think. I'm off the Kool-Aid now and still wonder when the President is going to New Orleans.
bad composition.
The painful realities of Washington are beginning to set in. It is SO hard to actually make a change in that town. So much money, so many vested interests, so many schmoozing power brokers, and so many really difficult issues that are not amenable to quick and simple solutions. Even though I am too conservative to agree with much of Obama's politics I thought that maybe, just maybe, this time it might be different. Unfortunately not.
No i wouldn't wear that, let alone buy it. FreshJive Might have been better opting for a different approach to showing their concern about this issue.
And this...is gonna make a big post:

"Hope" is the thing with feathers --
That perches in the soul --
And sings the tune without the words --
And never stops -- at all --

And sweetest -- in the Gale -- is heard --
And sore must be the storm --
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm --

I've heard it in the chillest land --
And on the strangest Sea --
Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb -- of Me.
