theMET was created with one goal in mind - to give people an engaging, entertaining and interactive experience.
Created at the end of May 2008, theMET started out as a private site and stayed that way for about three months until when we officially launched to the public at the end of July. As you will see, theMET is about having a dialogue, in finding new and interesting people to converse with on topics that range from politics and art to what you just had for breakfast.
What makes theMET special? The members of the site. The fact is that theMET is a collage - its very foundation is made by the people, for the people. It’s a hub for people in this modern day and age to gather and share the little intricate things that they find interesting in this world. And as we put all the little pieces into one big portrait, we see that together, theMET is a beautiful place and the fabric comes from us all.
