Well, I'm a young woman living in Calgary, AB, not long out of Uni with a B.F.A. Theatre, major in Acting... Originally from the east coast, Newfoundland & Labrador, to be specific. I'm a singer, dancer, actor, with a talent for painting and writing. I heart art & culture of all kinds! I love discovering new artists... all types of them! So If you know of any that have got you in a tizzy, send me a shout! One of my goals is to travel more... I've done a bit, but not nearly enough! - You should also listen to Tegan and Sara, Missy Higgins, A Fine Frenzy, Frou Frou/Imogen Heap too. Oh and i just started listening to the Postal Service and I love them. ^__^ I don't know if you have heard or of use Last.fm the website but it's free and recommends great music. They have free mp3 downloads too for a bunch of artists.

You should definitely listen to Brandi Carlile's music. It's definitely my favorite right now and maybe even of all time lol. The artist Lenka reminds me of you just because she's both an actress and singer/song writer/musician. :) I recently saw her in concert and she was really good and down to earth. She's adorable in person because she's so petite lol.
As for acting, today is my last day of acting class. I liked it but I sure was not good at it. I tried to go for the whole subtlety thing when I acted but the instructor wanted "bigger" acting. Perhaps it's related to his career as a theater actor because there's a difference between theater acting and film acting. I guess it doesn't really matter since I had fun in the class. All I've done are acting exercises and two monologues. They were hard to do!
What kind of acting do you do? I think you could definitely go into modeling as well. :) You're gorgeous based on your profile picture. I bet you can learn lots from acting, way more than people think or know about. It definitely allows you to see life through different perspectives.
In response to your question, if I was a musical genre, I would be indie rock first choice, alternative rock second choice and a mix between folk-indie-alternative rock. :D How about yourself?

- Hello! Have you ever heard of music by Lenka, Le Tigre, Lesley Roy, Sherwood, Belle & Sebastian, or Brandi Carlile? Right now, they're some of my favorite musicians/music groups. Maybe you will like them. You should check them out anyway. :)
How long have you been acting? Are you a professional actress or do you just act for fun? I'm currently taking an intro to acting class and it's pretty fun. We've just learned the basics so far, like how to present yourself on stage, etc. Do you also create your own music or do you just sing? What style of singing do you usually do? What kind of writing do you like to write? I'm currently working on some writing myself. Hopefully they will become novels in the near future.
