Poetic Photography by Michael Kenna

Most famous for his ethereal, black and white landscape photography, Michael Kenna has the gift of making everything look super poetic. Mind you..these aren't quick snap shots. Some of his photographs have taken up to 10 hours of exposure for which Kenna mainly uses Hasselblad medium formats, which in turn explains the square sized photographs.

I've chosen to post just some of the images from the… Continue

"same HILL ...diFFeReNt day"

Captured on different days and time of the day, this hill tells a new story every time. Which is one of photographers Paul Octavious' strongest assets, the talent of telling a story with images.

This became so evident while I was browsing his website. With every project he was able to make me curious enough to see the next photo and the next, making me feel a little sad every time I reached the end of one set of photographs. Just like… Continue

LEGO Dispatchwork

What can I say... LEGO is great. It's fun, inspiring and it 's colorfully pretty. Jan Vormann uses it to patch up bits and pieces of the odd wall or pavement. Dispatchwork is an ongoing project that has been done in several cities around the world such and Amsterdam, New York and St. Petersburg. The most recent one was done in New York city at Bryant Parc, as seen in the picture… Continue

So she took out her new camera and discovered that this new camera was perfect for macro photography. Different coloring and the right lighting help to make the most interesting compositions, making some of the shots seem like we're looking at living cells or…

What To Do with My Walls..Maybe This

I repainted my walls. And for some time now...I've been pondering about what else to do with them. While looking for options I stubled upon these. I quite like them. The Pong one is cool. Might go for something like that, just to test it out. Still thinking about it.

It's not a completely new idea, But... these leave no marks when it's removed. So whether you leave it on or take it down..there will be regrets. And it enables you to… Continue

PULP with Neil Krug and Joni Harbeck

Sizzling hot PULP images. Pulp used to be magazines printed on cheap paper which would easily turn yellow even before the magazines hit the news stands. The cover illustrations were often fantastical images of with damsels in distress and hero's and villains. Nowadays of course woman don't flail about helplessly. They take matters into their own hands, tough as nails, which is all the more sexy. With these Krug and Harbeck really capture the… Continue
