About Me
I suck at writing "about me" sections. No really, I do. I always try to conjure up some interesting facts about my dull and excruciatingly normal life. Here is my latest attempt.
I'm currently pursuing a BA in Business Administration at Boston University (awesome timing in this economy, eh?) After that, I'll probably get my master's or my law degree.. depending on how much money I can squeeze out of my parents. I want to stay in school forever. I am terrified of the "real world." I even wrote a 40 page thesis on Peter Pan and wanting to stay a kid forever.
I like to draw. I like to paint. I like to play the piano. I like to play the guitar. I like to dance. I like to write. I like to run. I am, at most, mediocre at all these things.
I love to bake. When I do finally finish school and land myself a boring little job in a boring little accounting firm, I totally see myself having a "mid life" crisis (is 30 considered "mid life?"), quitting my boring little job, and opening up a quaint little cupcake shop. My cupcakes are to die for. So are my oatmeal raisin cookies (hmm.. oatmeal raisin cupcakes?? must give those a try..)
I like red cups and holiday drinks from Starbucks, the smell of cedar wood, wearing high heels (sometimes), Scrabble, the way the wind blows right before it rains, summer in the city, sudoku, pearls, the Red Sox, and James Bond. I like math and crunching numbers and when I'm bored or on a long run I make up math problems and solve them in my head. That is why I am going to be an accountant.
I hate snow. But I really like to go ice fishing with my dad. I also used to like to steal trays from the dining hall and go tray sledding in the Common with my friends. Then my school decided to be more "eco friendly" and so they went tray-less. Since when is saving the planet more important than tray sledding?
I am always listening to music. I like the kind that makes me feel like a badass. I also like the kind that makes me want to jump up and down and shake my ass (my horrible take on dancing.. I guess 15 years of proper tap, jazz, and hip-hop lessons were a waste of money..) And The Beatles. I love The Beatles. One of my life dreams is to walk up to Paul McCartney and pinch his cheeks.
I am the worst at conclusions. I used to completely leave them out of my essays, even though it always cost me 10 points. It seemed worth it to me. I'd rather have 10 points be taken off my essay than spend 10 hours agonizing over a conclusion. I like my major a lot because I never have to take another writing class again.

I came across your profile and I wanted to leave a few lines. I really like how you described yourself. I find it cute and really honest. We have some similar tastes (except for the math part ^^) I'm not so sure you suck at everything you say you suck at though, especially about writing "about me" sections. :)
And nice music, btw.
Bye (from Paris) !
So, you're an artsy person, huh? Me, too! I love, love, love art in its many forms from photography, writing to music. ^__^ My life would be way worse without art. It's been such a good emotional outlet for me. How about you? Why do you love art so much? What kind of artsy stuff do you like to do? Do you play any other instrument besides guitar?
My novels... I am not far with my novels right now. I have about 3 or 4 short stories that I am working on. I hope to be able to either combine them into one novel or be able to write separate novels for each story. My themes are mostly about discovering oneself and moving through life's obstacles. I only have a couple of pages written for each story so far. I could show you them some time if you're interested.
Music... like you I also love music. I play several instruments at a mediocre level, I think but it's still fun nonetheless. I'm constantly listening to music especially at work. I need it or else I get really bored.
So do you do any sports besides running? I don't like to run lol. I did karate for almost six years, though and that was a lot of fun. Oh and I also hate writing endings to a papers. :) Wouldn't it be cool if you could be a student as a profession and get paid for it?
