Let me show you my place

First of all, welcome to my place. I hope you find your time here pleasant and later on return for a new visit. Feel free to leave any comments, and most important of all, make your self at home.

Then, Who am I?
I am a 21 year old student from Sweden who studies marketing at Linnaeus University in Växjö.

At the moment I am packing my bags and will leave for Tokyo on the 12:th september for studies at Waseda University on the SILS-program during a period of six months.

I am very interested in subjects as photography, design, digital art, fashion and advertising, and I am hoping that one day I will run my own PR company or on the other hand have a job relating to these subjects.

I you have the time, please check out my portfolio at http://www.behance.net/Mariohorvat and leave a comment on my projects, I would be very grateful for that. Thank you.

Hey Mario....I was in Tokyo because of my husband's work...I am self employed so I continued to do my work from there. So I would do my work while he was at work. Otherwise, it was like any other city and life. Work, go out with friends, see movies, take day trips here and there. We did see some of Japan including Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka, and we climbed Mt. Fuji in the summer. As well we went to Bali, Indonesia which I highly recommend.

I did spend quite a bit of time studying Japanese (1-2 hours a day). While many people can speak a little English, you really need to have a basic grasp of the language to get by and the people really like it if you at least try.

By far the most important thing I can tell you is get out there and make some connections/friends right away. It's a huge city but one can feel isolated and alone.

That's all I can think of right now - it was most of the time, quite a normal life - just a different city.

Are you going there to work, learn, travel? What are your plans for when you get there?
