About Me:
I am a student at the University of Memphis, earning a degree in journalism and anthropology. As a journalist, I am interested in all things newsworthy and the stories that other reporters won't write. I am not a broadcast reporter. I want to write, be it for a newspaper, a journal, or magazine. As an anthropologist, I am fascinated with all cultures across the world and the evolution of the human species, not just scientifically speaking.

I take pictures. Depending on your definition, I would suppose that I am an amateur, being that I do not shoot professionally with my own company or business. I freelance. Mostly bands, weddings, anything really. It's a true passion for me. I hope to someday combine all three and have my business card read something like: "Taylor English - Photojournalist of Anthropology." Sounds cool, huh?

I am addicted to all things film. I have a two bedroom apartment - one in which I sleep, and the other is for stacking piles of dvds and ancient vhs-es. Drama is most likely my preferred genre, though I love dark comedy. Some of my favorites: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Fountain, Candy, City of God, Howl's Moving Castle, The Painted Veil.... ok I'll stop now.

I am happily in love.
