a bit about me, i guess

Seems like in a community, one should write a bit about themselves on the profile page. I'm an art historian turned blogger/ social media fanatic. I blog about art, for pay. Pretty darn good work if you can get it, eh?

I also live in Florence, Italy. Tuscany is a pretty great place to live; I picked it over Canada where I was born, and over Chicago where I went to school. I picked it for love, for beauty, and for a love of absurdity and burocracy, both of which abound in Italy.

Contemporary art in historic spaces - good or bad?

A recent show in Florence (Italy) has me thinking about the interaction of historical periods of art in single spaces. We're not talking disruptions of the space-time continuum here, just a question:
