First, hello and thank you for finding My Modern Metropolis. Welcome! It's a pleasure having you here. Hope you make yourself comfortable.
Who Am I?
Let's see, I'm a girl who had a dream. I wanted to create an open, friendly environment where we could share our experiences. I wanted it to be a global community where we could learn from each other...where we could connect over our stories.
My Background?
I'm a UCLA alum who worked in advertising for MTV. I've always been into spotting trends and seeing them take off. I'm lucky enough to now do that as my full-time job. I'm also an aspiring photographer and graphic designer.
What Do I Write About?
I'm a huge fan of art, design and photography. I think creativity exists in every one of us and I love showing that to the world. Though I'm particularly fond of street art and pop surrealism, I love anything that pushes boundaries. You'll notice that I put together a lot of photo compilations. More than anything, I love uncovering the stories (or the passion) behind them.
Here's my blog on theMET.

I was…

Boston-based graphic designer Herrin overlays these wonderful words over her own photography, giving us that boost of hope or confidence we, at times, need in…
