Glenn Jones. a graphic designer and illustrator from Auckland, New Zealand creates some of the funniest t-shirts I've ever seen. With a really distinct style, along with a clever sense of humor, he really makes you think for a second before laughing out loud.
London photographer Atton Conrad captured these stunning images by fusing beautiful models with dresses manufactured from light graffiti. The light creates a dramatic sense of movement, while also providing different types of textures and styles. With a well-executed display of art and fashion, I'm pretty sure we'll see more applications of light graffiti in the… Continue
Why do people succeed? Is it because they're smart? Or are they just lucky? Neither. Analyst Richard St. John condenses years of interviews into an unmissable 3-minute slideshow on the real secrets of success.
Richard St. John knew how he had found success -- through his marketing company, the St. John Group, which boasted clients like Nortel and BlackBerry/Research in Motion. But he couldn't get away from the question: Why him? He thinks of himself as an… Continue
Hello, everyone! So the three of us, Sam (my husband), Sonny (our friend) and me, made it to New Zealand! After having traveled from the North Island to the South Island, we made our way to Queenstown, otherwise known as the Adventure Capital of the World. And rightly so! As you can see from the first picture, we took advantage of the spectacular views by going on a… Continue
Construction has reached the half way point for Capital Gate, an iconic leaning building in Abu Dhabi, designed by New York firm RMJM Architects. Built to be the most inclined tower in the world, the 35 story, gravity-defying feature tower will lean westward 18 degrees, 4 times as far as the Leaning Tower of Pisa which currently leans 3.97 degrees.
Jay Leno ended his run as host of the "Tonight Show" Friday, which he began 17 years ago after taking over from Johnny Carson. He was greeted by a large standing ovation from the audience to begin the show, and he concluded the evening by inviting on stage all the children who had been born to people who had met while working on the program.
And here's Leno saying his goodbyes at the end of the show...… Continue

Another iconic vehicle is about to be reborn and brought into the 21st century. This time it is the Mercedes-Benz 300SL that is getting the make-over treatment (that’s the car with the batman-esque doors to you and me, or Gull-wings as they are known in the car business).
This beautiful badboy, first introduced to the roads in 1954, is to be modified by Arturo Alonso and his company,… Continue
I can't help but think of my fun childhood memories when looking at this photo set by German photographer Ulli (Taunus). As she follows the trail of a couple adorable kids, she captures some priceless moments of them exploring the world and all its wonders. Here are some of my favorite shots.…
Alice Wang has designed a fabulous set of chairs for dysfunctional people that will be unveiled next month in Milan. The chair above is called the Silent Farter. It amplifies the sound of anyone sitting on it passing gas. "Those with excess gas in their abdomen can find it difficult to hold it in sometimes, even at important times such as formal dinner gatherings or meetings. Quietly letting the gas out may be the solution, but although… Continue

New Yorkers can now walk through the very heart of Times Square. New York City is banning cars from stretches of Broadway at Times Square and Herald Square. The goal is to reduce pollution and pedestrian accidents and to help traffic flow more smoothly. Officials say the plan will help make the city more livable.
“This is like a sanctuary,” said Yesim Bilgic, 36, a Swedish novelist who was sitting in one of hundreds of lawn chairs set out in the center of Broadway, where vehicular…
More and more people are giving up on cable TV and turning to the web. According to a recent study by Parks Associates about 900,000 U.S. homes relied solely on the Internet for TV in 2008. Another survey showed that 8% of adults now view television shows online at least once a week (Leichtman Research Group). The same survey found that 8% of adults who watch video online now watch TV less often.
No, this is not a wet dream. Bravo has announced that the network will premiere Top Chef Masters, a cooking challenge TV show series, on Wednesday, June 10 at 10 p.m. (PST). The 24 contestants include entrants from some of the most admired culinary brands in the United States.
These chefs are not here to make a name for themselves (they already have that), they're competing for bragging rights. And I hope they fight rough. The taste of ears should not be a… Continue
Not unlike the virtual chronological tour I gave you here, my last day abroad was pretty low-key. I woke up, read a book on the balcony, had a crêpe (2 to be exact) in the town square in Fira, then headed back up and took a nap.
The chicken crêpe was so-so (reminded me of chicken pot-pie) but the dessert crêpe was memorable just…
The cover of the June/July issue of Interview magazine featuring Icelandic songbird Bjork is stunning. I wish the fashion rags were more graphically creative like this.
