The Apple That's One in a Million

Have you seen this awesome apple? A random genetic mutation caused this apple to have two colors, split perfectly in the middle. It turned up in the village of Colaton Raleigh, Devon UK where Mr Morrish, 72, who has been harvesting the apples from trees in his garden for 45 years, was picking a few apples for his sister-in-law.

Mr Morrish said: "I couldn't… Continue

Cool Concept: Ora Watch Tells Time in Inches (8 pics)

The Ora watch is a rad new concept by Greek designer Alexandros Stasinopoulos. Breaking completely out of the box, the time is displayed by three separate, yet seemingly cohesive, measuring tapes which display the hour, minutes, and day.

"The design of the case reflects an 'inside-out' design approach as it was the mechanism's arrangement that prescribed…

DIY chalkboard table makes it fun to play with your food

Chalkboard Table

A basic wood table gets new life as a fun and interactive centerpiece for meals. The project is simple enough - sand and prime a table, apply paint, allow to cure - that even I would be willing to take it on. Chalkboard paint is available from a number of different vendors and most hardware stores carry it now or can special order it (RustOleum and…

Bernie Madoff Finally Gets What He Deserves - Chen Wenling

The sculpture “What You see Might Not Be Real,” by Chen Wenling, was displayed at a Beijing gallery Sunday. A bull, meant to represent Wall Street, is seen ramming the biggest con man of all time, Bernie Madoff, into a wall. Totally deserving, if you ask me.

The huge cloud coming out of the bull's rear not only refers to the end of a greedy era, but also… Continue
