Today my mom and I met up with my aunt at Cafe Jardin for lunch. FOOD WAS EXCELLENT.
I had crab cakes with asparagus. It was very yummy, and for dessert I had a raspberry crème brûlée.
The gardens are gorgeous. I can't believe that I've lived here for practically forever and I've never heard of this place! Its such a hidden gem! As some of you know, I love taking pictures, especially of flowers, so here are a whole buttload that I took… Continue
Ever since I got into the advertising world, I've been fascinated by the creativity behind it. How can you stir an emotional response in someone so that they'll be excited about your brand? With thousands upon thousands of ads thrown at us on a daily basis, which ones break through and catch our attention?
Albeit still a concept car, Lamborghini just came out with these pics of their new sedan, the Estoque. (named after the sword matadors use to kill bulls.) The company that last spring said it couldn't possibly meet Europe's tightening emissions rules may jump on the gas-electric bandwagon with a car it's been saying "is not just a new Lamborghini. It's a whole… Continue

Ron Mueck's 'Mask II' - a widely-exhibited self-portrait of the artist sleeping
Yo Roger, do you think I can come crash at your place so we can go to the British Museum and see some contemporary art? An 18-carat gold Kate Moss (our "modern-day Aphrodite") in this contorted pose, a sleeping giant's head, Hirst's famous display of skulls? If I can't make… Continue
All hail Princess Anne! Gorgeous portrayal of the formerly mousy (and admittedly shy) teen actress in this month's W Magazine. Who knew? With a little help from Fairy Godmother Couture, it looks like the awkward duckling has blossomed into a modern day Audrey Hepburn.…
In commercial real estate, Banks are up there near the top of snore design, which doesn't make sense for an industry so dependent on differentiated service and customer experience (they all offer the same product, after all). But improvements are on the way.
Several new bank design concepts are in the works, and some have been launched recently, including CheBanca! in Milan by Crea International. The concept for CheBanca! (translation: What… Continue
Thomas Herbrich is a master of digital photography. His pictures are mindblowingly unique and create a story with each photo. In his words, "What makes a good picture? For me the answer is quite easy: a good picture is like the beginning of an interesting story...Ideally, the viewer does not look at a picture, but looks into it." Just take a look below and you'll see what I'm talking about.…
DEXTER - Fight the Power for Change! (by artist who illustrated Obama poster)
Does everyone here love (the Showtime drama series) Dexter as much as I do?
I love him like .. I wanna go over to his apt. after midnight and make him a steak, I don't care what he does to me.
After launching a series of awesome print ads (Wired, Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, Vanity, Esquire, Details, Interview, Los Angeles, The Los Angeles Times… Continue
Interesting brand campaign from Mercedes focusing solely on celebrity endorsement and feminine beauty (no car), featuring Chinese actress Zhang Zi Yi. Although her look is not exactly my cup of tea, I applaud her for her ultra mega success (but isn't there anyone else remotely cute who can kung-fu in a period gown?) .. unless she's a Fembot as I sometimes suspect. In that case, I applaud her for her acting.
