How can you not love the animated animals in this African adventure? This family friendly sequel features the return of the first film's vocal talents: Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric the Entertainer, and Andy… Continue
James Jarvis is a 38 year old toy creator and illustrator that hails from London. He was thrust into the limelight in 1998 when he created Martin, the first potato-headed ambassador that jumped off the pages of his cartoon universe. Though dubbed one of the founders of the small toy movement he instead he likes to call himself a cartoonist. He says, “I like drawing… Continue
I love how a simple drawing and few words can make you smile or remember a fond moment or make you see something in a light. All day I've been thinking about how symbolic Obama's win was for America and rather than go on and on about it...I shall leave you with these 11 cartoons.…
Last night, we braved the crowds and made it in to the official Los Angeles celebration at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel. And oh what a night it was! I can best describe it as New Years Eve x million - a moment I'll never forget, where tears were shed, hugs were aplenty and where high fives ruled over handshakes. As many of us ride the wave of excitement… Continue
Wonder how stable this building will be. MVRDV and co-architects ADEPT have won a competition to design a new tower in Copenhagen, Denmark. Okay, so I knew Obama was going to win, but I was holding out hope.
Obama has won and I will do my best to put my full support behind him and his vision for change. Lets just hope he changes things for the better. I am worried about his health care plan and a lot of his social policies, but I am going to be as positive about this as possible. Hopefully he will be a great PR president. We need a better outlook on… Continue
In historic fashion yesterday, Senator Barack Obama became President-Elect of the United States of America with a 52% majority in the popular vote, and more than 349 electoral votes. John McCain conceded graciously at 11:20 pm eastern last night.
Eugene and I set off this afternoon in search of free election day food and drinks. After dutifully voting by absentee last week, I felt like celebrating with coffee, donuts and Chick-fil-A! Too bad after standing in an hour and a half line to vote, Eugene didn't share in my excitement.
My one cardinal rule (feed a man when is hungry and let a man sleep… Continue
Madonna has got canned heat in her heels tonight, baby. Here she is at the New York premiere of her new movie The Fifth Wisdom on Oct. 21 in some interesting shoes from Chanel's Spring 2009 Cruise Collection. You know this boogie is for real.
As anyone will tell you, I'm a sucker for funny t-shirts. In fact, it was even one of Sam's wedding party gifts to his groomsmen. That's why I love this idea from Brooklyn designer/artist, Clinton Van Gemert, called Headhoods. I dig that they were started by this one guy in his studio and that each hoodie is designed and hand printed.…
