Alright people..help me out here. Who in God's name needs $135 Burberry earmuffs? Is it just me? I must say I love the scarf or the trench but children's earmuffs?

Do these scream cool or fool? I mean I guess they are merino wool and cashmere but really? Is this necessary?…

I will miss her....

In the months leading up to January 13th 2006 I had been dreaming almost nightly about this car. I fantasized cruising PCH with the top down, or driving spiritedly on Ortega Hwy or at GMR in Azusa. It was something that I had to have. On January 13th 2006, a Friday, I got off work and decided I would drive up to a dealership that had an S2000 in stock. I didn't plan to buy a car that day, but I at least wanted to take a look. Long story short I… Continue

Starbucks is Giving You a Free Cup of Coffee if You Vote!

Goooo Schultz! If you vote, go to Starbucks afterward and have a nicely brewed tall cup of coffee on them!

This idea came up a number of times on MyStarbucksIdea.com, an on-line forum for sharing customer and partner (employee) ideas. Way to go for implementing it, Schultz!

From what I've read online it's based on the honor system so just tell them you voted.…

Just Call It the Oprah Effect: How 12 Words Can 'Cause the Kindle to Be Sold Out!

AdAge put out some stats on the buzz Oprah has started to create with the Kindle. Was it those 12 words, "I'm telling you, it's absolutely my new favorite thing in the world" that was so powerful or was it the $50 discount she offered with a code?

Both! In fact, it just goes to show just how much power Oprah has! The Kindle is now sold… Continue

Advanced Doodling - Reconstruction: Ferris Plock and Kerry Tunstall

Little Friend - Plock & Tunstall

There's something really fun, happy, and abstract about the work of Ferris Plock and Kerry Tunstall. I think I like it because it reminds me of the doodles I would make when I was back in school. If you happen to Denver, their show "Reconstruction" is currently open to the public at the Limited Addiction Gallery.…

Shake Me Like a Mo-Fo If I Ever Buy This: Swarovski Webcam

Now I'm all about the bling but within reason, people! Just because we can doesn't mean we should! No one should ever own this or I will reach through my computer and personally shake you. (Chris Rock reference. We don't hit or slap, we shake.)

Do I care that you have 2 megapixel photo and 1.3 megapixel video resolution, an integrated flash and are able… Continue

Cos-What? Cosplay. If You Know About the Harajuku Girls, You Know About Cosplay.

Oh man, why didn't I find this before Halloween? Cosplay is short for costume play. Basically a movement that started in Japan where people dress up as their favorite comic book/anime/fantasty movie character. Started in the mid 1980s, it's turned into an underground subculture movement where people are expected to meticulously imitate one's character. Recently, with the rise of science fiction/fantasy movies, non-Japanese characters from movies like… Continue

Renaissance Rock Art - Ron English: San Francisco

The more I look at Ron English's work, the more it grows on me. I think it's amazing how he's able to seamlessly blend old school European art with current pop culture. The opening reception for his show, The Secret History of Kiss, is set for Saturday November 1st, from 7pm-11pm at The Shooting Gallery in San Francisco. The solo exhibit runs through December 6th… Continue

Too Cool or Lookin' Like a Fool?: Bunny Head Hat

I love the look of the rabbit's face...a little disgruntled, a little surprised, like he's saying, "what the fuck? why am i on your head?"

I can't decide whether this is too cool or if you'll be lookin' like a fool if you're sportin' it.

Thoughts?

"Let's take this outside!" Microsoft placing "I'm a PC" recording booths outside Apple stores

Oh it just keeps getting better. In Microsoft's latest attempt to go head-to-head with Apple, they are taking their "I'm a PC" recording booths and placing them smack dab in front of Apple Stores. Microsoft is going to try and woo you in and then YOU get to proudly tell everyone why YOU are a PC! Of course, no shame in that. PCs are cool, too. Call me an instigator but I… Continue

As She Rises From the Dead...The World Will Be Watching: Britney Spears' New Album, Circus, Drops Dec 2nd

So the girl made some bad decisions. K-Fed (more like K-fucked you up) - We knew he would be a dud, darling, we saw that coming from a mile away. She doesn't have the vocal range of Leona Lewis, the edginess of Rihanna or the moody soulfulness of Rachel Yamagata. No sweet charm from the likes of Zooey Deschanel or Priscilla Ahn..in fact, you know every serious… Continue
