Intricate Charcoal Fingerings

I am in awe of artist Judith Braun's beautiful series of charcoal pieces. Not only are the works elegant but the process she uses to create them is also quite interesting. Instead of using charcoal, as one would use in a pencil or normal piece of vine charcoal, Braun uses her fingers. By dipping her fingertips in charcoal or pastel dust, Braun creates graceful works of art.

Old Souls Captured in a Bottle

People often wonder how a model ship is encased in a bottle, but what's more puzzling is how artist Marc Yankus has photographically fit an entire girl into an average-sized one. Yankus' photo series entitled Call It Sleep explores memory, the hauntingly beautiful architecture of New York City, stationary calmness, and, what caught our attention the most, photomontages of figures… Continue

Wild Brush Strokes

Henry McCausland is both an illustrator and an animator whose style consists of wild brush strokes with hints of small line details. The color palette that he uses are out of the ordinary which causes his work to evoke strong moods of either calmness or energy.
