Real estate mogul Victor MacFarlane put this St. Regis penthouse up for sale and in doing so smashed the previous record price tag for a San Francisco residence. As Robert Bringhurst, from The Elements of Typographic Style, once said, "Typography exists to honor content." I couldn't agree with him more. In fact, in this set of pictures words don't just honor content, they take on a meaningful life of their own.… Continue
These self-portraits by Sam Taylor-Wood are truly inspiring. As she explores notions of weight and gravity, she places herself in situations where her interior and external sense of self is in conflict.
Born in London in 1967, Taylor-Wood studied at Goldsmiths College and went on to become a prolific film-maker and… Continue

Love this catchy song and fun new video from Norwegian electronic music duo Royksopp. It's their first single from their new album 'Junior.' Album hits stores on March 23rd.
Midway through you'll start to notice some familiar old school video game characters! (Get's good around 2:03)
Available in black or a brushed stainless steel finish, the Samsung TL320, with a 5x optical zoom and 24mm ultra wide lens, breaks ground by featuring the world's first 3.0-inch VGA AMOLED screen. Dorothy from Jerry McGuire was giving it to us straight when she said, "First class is (what's) wrong. It used to be a better meal. Now it's a better life." One look at the new Swiss Air first class cabin and you will believe that first class passengers are now truly… Continue
Okay, so I'm very excited about my new place. At first, I had a little bit of renter's remorse because the apartment is smaller than the place I was at before. The Brown Couch of Death was the most comfortable piece of furniture I've ever owned; I've fallen into blissful sleep on it many a nights. Because it's smaller, the BCOD wouldn't have fit in the new living room, so I got rid of it and the loveseat.
These totally draw the attention away from the warm bologna-and-american-cheese-sammich-funk wafting from under your desk during class. Kinda. Now that I think about it, probably draws more attention towards it. Whatever. I can totally smell the hot-tuna-juice coming from under yours. Or is that your crusty slip-ons-with-no-socks that's killing… Continue

What's the best way to have animals inside the house without having to take care of them? Why, it's with wall art! You know I'm a nut for all this removable vinyl art stuff. Who wouldn't want Maurice the Monkey in their bedroom?… Continue
While I won't be able to muster up enough courage to rock one of Handlespout's headbands, I know I can handle these hair pins! Made of silk taffeta and tulle, these pretty-as-can-be flowers are attached to a 2" bobby pin. They come in a set of… Continue
Is it only me that thinks this building is really sexy? Credit goes to JAJA, an architecture office based in Copenhagen, Denmark, who has revealed this proposal for an office and shop complex in Sandnes, Norway. The project occupies 1139,930 ft² (13000 m²).
The building, named Ormen Lange, snakes through the landscape and lifts itself up to create a new… Continue
23 year old Romanian artist Kovacs Katalin doesn't draw traditionally "pretty" girls. In fact, one look at them and you'll wonder if they were inspired by models during the grunge era of the 90s. They're more gaunt than gorgeous, like a modern day Pippi Longstocking who fell into the wrong crowd and could never find her way back home.
Wouldn't it be nice if dark streets were illuminated by these beautiful, photosynthetic leaves? That’s the concept behind Jongoh Lee’s "invisible streetlight." The flexible body of the solar-powered light is designed to directly wrap around a tree branch with no support required, seamlessly blending into the surrounding environment. The leaves store the sun’s energy… Continue
In the Art world there is something new every day. Installations of glass or light, or wire and medications thrown on the floor. Some of these are interesting to look at – some certainly cause one to ask “WHY”???? But whenever there is real talent, raw drawing and painting, it just jumps out and SCREAMS at you. There is no way to fake talent, you have it or you don’t.
Seeing hundreds of things pass my desk daily only reinforces that. Quality catches the eye every time. The ability to… Continue
