More than 20 pieces from Rodarte's Spring 2010, Fall 2010 and Fall 2008 runway collections are on display along with original ballet costumes worn by Natalie Portman for the critically acclaimed movie Black Swan

Slightly surreal and even a little spooky, this calendar is for those that feel like a cloud is always hovering over their heads. It should come as no surprise that photographer Tejal Patni was inspired by Tim Burton's dramatic films. Called Splash
, the fashion calendar has the color "black" as its theme. "I approached all seasons as if I was writing a script for 12 different feature… Continue

Los Angeles based photographer Tasya Van Ree infuses her incredible black and white photos with romanticism, darkness, and intimacy. As she explains, "There is this undying interest with the traditional seduction of black and white film. It captures the internal dialogue of whatever it is that you're shooting, and exhibits it in a revealing way. I think there's something… Continue

Today, I wanted to spotlight one our very own metropolites, Ian Jump. Though many of you may know of him as the witty teddy bear (see profile), you may not know that Ian's a proficient photographer based in Georgia who's been taking pictures for the past…

Try and describe the feelings black and white photography evokes and you'll come up with words like classic, bold, raw, and natural. Then ask the person next to you and he or she might say something completely different. The beauty of black and white photography is that it can take…

I've been a fan of ban.do's
beautiful hair pieces for quite awhile now
. There's a whimsical nature to them. It's like you know if Alice in Wonderland were to exist today, she'd rock these in a heartbeat. If fact, I think… Continue

The picture above looks like the brave young man has fallen down from inferno straight through a fiery bellowing cloud. He's actually swimming in the sea, going underneath a rolling wave. These photographs have a vintage look to them. They make me feel somewhat nostalgic about something I've never even done before...like free diving for example.
While most would choose colour photographs to document the underwater world, not surprising…

Check out this sleek, sexy house designed by Japanese firm FORM / Kouichi Kimura Architects. With a black exterior and white courtyard, it's no surprise that the interior is full of contrast with both light and dark rooms. Although the house doesn't look too big in size, I like how they set up the space to make it look spacious and clean.

This time, it’s the Hublot Black Caviar Bang, a new entrant to the million dollar watch club. Carrying the legacy forth, the Caviar Bang comes festooned with a 18k white gold case and clasp with hundreds of… Continue

Whether they were on the big screen or on the boob tube, no doubt that these eight got us ROFL'ing this year.

Thinking of getting a new Iphone, Ipod, or Macbook in the next few weeks? You may want to wait for Black Friday.
If analysts’ predictions are correct, Iphones could be $100, MacBooks $800, and IPod shuffles $25, a day after Thanksgiving. Barclays Capital expects Apple to cut the price of its gadgets on Black Friday, a consumer holiday when stores sell… Continue

Ever feel like you got your head in the clouds? There's something off about these photos by French photographer Denis Olivier, and that's exactly why I like them.
Here's an excerpt from his bio: "At the age of 17 I began to take some photographs. I started studying biochemistry, but after 3 years I changed to Poitiers school of fine-arts, and took an… Continue
