I'm really impressed by the artistry behind these show cards for David Choe's upcoming exhibit in Beverly Hills. Choe, a superstar in the pop-art circuit, hasn't had a solo show in Los Angeles for six long years.
"this summer In april 2010 I will have my first solo art show in…
There has never been a more retched hive of scum and villainy (and sexiness) than the Los Angeles club Bordello this past Saturday. The club was turned into the Mos Eisley Canitna for a night that Empire and Rebel fans could both get behind. Classic characters like C3PO, Boba Fett, Darth Vader and a sexy Storm Trooper stripped down shook it for the audience. You can check out more photos and a review of the event over at the… Continue

Adam Rose of the Los Angeles Times visited UCLA during their tri-annual Undie Run to ask semi-nude students some very important questions like "What the hell are you wearing?!". The Undie Run was created to allow co-eds to release some steam after the stress of taking… Continue
*Squeals* If there's one show to take in this year, make it this one! This is like the 'Dream Team' of writers, like the circa '92 DREEAM TEAMS! Barkley, Ewing, Jordan, Johnson, Pippen , Bird, Malone - the whole kr3w maaaannn, they're all here! Like, not really - but their graff-writin' counter-parts are!
I know I been pushin' this agenda of mine since I arrived here, but c'mon THIS IS… Continue

#8 - Notecards by the founder of Unique LA herself, Sonja Rasula, formerly an interior designer on HGTV and TLC’s ‘Trading Spaces’.
MMM's post led me to this weekend's Unique LA shopping event, and it did not disappoint. Some 200 independent designers and artists converged at the indoor shopping bazaar's debut in the Fashion District part of… Continue
Yowza!! No, this isn't a strip club. Upper Manhattan Martini Lounge is a surprisingly fresh, upscale lounge on the Westside. It caters to a more mature crowd and every Friday and Saturday they host cabaret shows from 9pm-11pm. I really like the decor of the place, the modern looking bar, and how the entire place changes colors at times. The cabaret girls have some… Continue

Here's a peak at the new Nissan 370Z, which will debut officially at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show. The look is smoother and more organic than the current model. Nissan has yet to confirm what changes it's made beneath the metal, but it's safe to assume from the name alone that the larger 3.7-liter V6 from the Infiniti G37 will reside under that new hood. In the… Continue
Do we have any Japanese food lovers in the house? The 9th Annual Japanese Food Festival will take place at the Kyoto Grand Hotel and Gardens in Downtown LA tomorrow from 11am-3pm. I've never been to this before, but looking at the pictures, this event has some serious potential. Tickets are $50 a pop.
According to the website, attendees will be able to… Continue
This is a live report as I am currently writing this post from LA Mill Coffee Boutique. Annie and I decided to make the trek out here in an effort to find hidden gems of Silver Lake. To our caffeinated delight, we ended up here.
Arriving outside, I could tell that this was no ordinary Joe the plumber's coffee house. This is a higher-end, high-quality… Continue
What will race cars look like in 2025? The Los Angeles Auto Show, in its fifth annual Design Challenge, posed this question to automakers' design studios. Entrants from Audi, BMW, GM, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, and Volkswagen have differing takes of what will be required for future racetracks. The results are super creative.
