Alice+Olivia - A New Fall Dress

I was checking out Alice+Olivia's new Fall collection when I stumbled across the Elyse Silk Dress. This one-shoulder dress caught my eye because it's stylish and sexy in a subtle way. I love how it softly drapes the body and how the belt gives it a slightly retro vibe.

A Herve Leger Dress...From the Future!

Is it me or does this dress look like it's from the future? I've always been a fan of the way a Herve Leger dress hugs the body - the bandages make the woman look so slimming. But all I can think of when I look at this dress is Battlestar Galactica, Megan Fox and Cyclops in X-Men. What do you think of it?…

A Modern Day Muse: The Girl in the Red Dress

I'm not a crazy fashionista but when I see a picture of someone who has a great sense of style I just have to stop and take notice. Sofia Hedstrom is a correspondent for a Swedish television station. This picture was taken as she was taking a break from the craziness of New York fashion week. The hair, the glasses, the dress, the belt, the bag and the shoes - just a… Continue

We love Anthropologie and ethereal underwater photography just as much as the next girl. But is it me, or is this photo (by Barbara Cole for the May catalog) a bit unsettling?

It's official, Jason Wu, the 26 year old Taipei-born fashion designer, is a star tonight.

In an elegant, creamy one-shoulder Grecian style gown designed by Wu, beloved first lady Michelle Obama slow danced like a blushing bride with her love and the love of the nation, U.S. President Barack Obama, while Beyonce sang the Etta James classic "At Last" at the Leadoff Neighborhood Inaugural Ball in Washington, DC. The ball is one… Continue

What will Michelle Obama Wear on January 20, 2009?

The big countdown begins! Less than two weeks remains until the most anticipated inauguration of the century. Of course, the part I am most eagerly looking forward to is what Michelle Obama will wear to the Ball, or Balls, rather. The word around Dupont Circle is that the Obamas will attend a record breaking… Continue

Kate Hudson in Elle Magazine

The Goldie Hawn of our generation, romantic comedy champ Kate Hudson, looking as glamorous as ever in Elle magazine's February 2009 issue. Photographed by Carter Smith. Cos-What? Cosplay. If You Know About the Harajuku Girls, You Know About Cosplay.

Oh man, why didn't I find this before Halloween? Cosplay is short for costume play. Basically a movement that started in Japan where people dress up as their favorite comic book/anime/fantasty movie character. Started in the mid 1980s, it's turned into an underground subculture movement where people are expected to meticulously imitate one's character. Recently, with the rise of science fiction/fantasy movies, non-Japanese characters from movies like… Continue

Sure Kim Gives it Some Umph, But Damn That Dress is Just Dead Sexy!: Kim + Other Hot (or Not) Ladies in Herve Leger

I will be the first to admit that I am a far cry from being a fashionista. Much to my sister Grace's chagrin, I see what I like, and if it's comfortable I wear it! But every once in awhile, my eyes will laser focus on a beautiful or unique piece of clothing or accessory that I start to obsess over. You may remember the… Continue
