Hooray for Hollywood! - Burgers at the Roosevelt Hotel's 25 Degrees

So Sam and I set out for Hollywood & Highland today to check out a few key sights, one of them being The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The Roosevelt Hotel is pretty gosh darn old, having first been built 1927 but it was remodeled in 2005 by designer Dodd Mitchell making it a hot spot now for young celebs. Here's a quick history of the place on… Continue

Have a special occasion coming up or just looking to surprise your special someone with an unforgettable Sunday brunch? Hotel Bel-Air is the perfect place to go! Not too commercialized or trendy, Bel-Air does well to preserve its eloquence and serenity; the gardens within the hotel only add to its tranquility.

Not a buffet type of brunch, Hotel Bel-Air offers a three course meal with lots of choices. Their attention to detail is evident not… Continue

Hidden Gem in Santa Monica - Huntley Hotel

Today, Sam and I decided to check out the Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica. After pouring $18 million for a comprehensive redesign in 2005, the Huntley emerged as a beautiful luxury hotel. Right at 2nd and Wilshire, the location is great for out of town guests who want to stay near the beach but enjoy the hustle and bustle of 3rd street. We didn't get to peek inside the rooms but judging from some pics, they definitely carried the general theme… Continue

Americana at Brand: The Experience

The girls (me, my older sister Grace and her little one year old Ava Berry Cherry) set out for a day of sun and shopping today at Americana at Brand. After hearing enough friends rave about it, I had to check it out for the experience and my sister had to check it out for the shopping.

All I can say is....

Wow.

We got there around 11am (early enough to beat the crowds and get bomby parking). As bff Jay had said there… Continue

Inspiration and Trust

I read this article in Esquire about Steve Wynn, the mastermind to some of the greatest hotels in the world including my all time favorite in Las Vegas, Bellagio, and was struck by his honesty and openness. The article is a little old but I thought getting a small inside look into his world was pretty… Continue

Las Vegas! - Chic Restaurants and Pool Parties!?

Viva Las Vegas!

The husband (Sam) and I were in Vegas this weekend for our friend's wedding. Can't say enough about how beautiful everything turned out. They got married at a very chic wedding chapel inside Mandalay Bay and then had their wedding reception at Aureole Restaurant. It's the restaurant with the "wine angels" flying down the wine tower Mission Impossible style. With over 2,700 wines to chose from, they gave us this really cool touch screen tablet to narrow down our choices. All… Continue
