Photographed by Mario Testino and styled by Tonne Goodman, Lady Gaga appears in the March 2011 issue of Vogue US. The queen of pop (and Twitter) wears a pink bobbed wig and amazing outfits by Alexander McQueen, Louis Vuitton, Haider Ackermann and others. The editorial was shot at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts, Antwerp, Belgium in November 2010.
Mario Tesino shoots gorgeous Keira Knightley for Vogue UK's January 2011 issue. The 25-year-old English film actress looks radiant (if not a bit pale) in these shots with her fire-red lips and her designer clothes by Miu Miu, Sonia Rykiel, Prada and Marni. In classic Testino-style, the photos are beautifully lit and there's an artistic quality to them, as if we're looking at… Continue
So this video was created by Japanese students using stop-motion and I must say they did a REALLY great job! But this makes me think of the following:
1 - They did a really incredible job.
2 - I love the fact that the original Mario is still appreciated after all these years.
3 - Shouldn't they be training to be a ninja or something? (i can totally say this because I'm Asian so its not as racist.)… Continue

Collection of “untooned” images that show us how our favourite cartoon and video game characters would look like in real life. Ive posted some of these before but thought i should include again with the rest.
Some creepy, some weird, some not quite accurate, but still cool!
What a fantastic new piece from artist Glen Brogan! Just what should Mario put on today? Guess it depends on his every-changing mood...
Per Glen, "I wanted to include as many of his power-ups as possible, but the main rule I had to follow was that I couldn't include things that actually transform Mario himself rather that just changing his wardrobe, like the Boo mushroom from Mario Galaxy that turns him into a ghost."
Mario Testino shoots the beautiful Rachel McAdams in the January 2010 edition of Vogue. Dressed in Dior and Dolce & Gabbana, McAdams is a vision. As a star in the upcoming movie, Sherlock Holmes, she'll grace the screen once again, proving her celebrity star status. With all this fame, though, don't think McAdam is not grounded. As she states, "I don't really…
Maybe it's because I like any photo shoot with graffiti in the background. Or maybe it's because Scarlett Johansson has never looked as sweet yet edgy as this. As one of today's modern day muses, Scarlett lights up any screen she's on. In this photo shoot, by Mario…
Like Tom Ford's new ads, luxurious, rich colored clothing is coming back into style. In this ad campaign for D&G, one of theMET's favorite photographers, Mario Testino, captures the essence of that new era, or what I like to call new modern luxury. It's a… Continue

In this fashion spread for Vogue UK, Mario Testino once again shows us why he's at the top of fashion photography. The Peruvian fashion photographer captures the raw beauty of Russian-born model, Natalia Vodianova, with his interesting choice of background. The dresses are ornate, the background, gritty, but it all balances out to create a wonderfully edgy photo…
Fashion photographer Mario Testino shows us just how magical family life can be with model Natalia Vodianova in his photo set for Vogue's November 08 issue. Not only are the clothes absolutely beautiful, it's the gorgeous environment makes this set so enchanting. It's like a modern day fairytale, only here you get to see what happens after the princess runs off with…
There's something completely sexy about this photo shoot by Mario Testino that has me coming back to it over and over again. The way the model has this nervousness about herself - the slightly self-consciousness makes it all the more appealing. I love the lighting and use of gold and orange colored accessories. And the last picture is just completely arresting, isn't…
SirMitchell's little shop of t-shirts on Etsy makes me laugh. The designs are almost as awesome as unicorns, Star Wars, dinosaurs, or Halo, but less awesome than a Liger. They're probably the best drawings the artist has ever done.
Apparently, Vogue loves Anne Hathaway. Granted, she sometimes calls to mind a girl Screech (with me, Grace?) but she sure looks great in couture, as demonstrated by the January 2009 issue of Vogue. The spread was photographed by Mario Testino, a favorite of Princes William and Harry.
Way to go Blik for working with Nintendo in making these wall sticker decals! Not only did you get the rights to the OG Super Mario Bros game, you got Donkey Kong and the new Super Mario Bros. You may remember this old post from Eugene about interior decorating…Continue
Mario Mariotti (1936-1997) was a conceptual artist who transforms his hands into odd, fantastic creatures. His book "Animani" showcased a great variety of wild animals and birds -- all hands, adorned with a lot of paint, a few toothpicks, string and some button eyes. Not as detailed and refined as Guido Daniele of Milan Italy (see… Continue
