Last night the trailer for This Is It — the documentary capturing rehearsal footage for what would have been Michael Jackson’s epic return to the stage — premiered as the finale of the 2009 Video Music Awards. It was a spectacular preview of what fans can expect to see October 28th when the film hits theaters for a two week engagement.
If you're one of those people who believes you have to watch certain movies on the big screen, make sure you catch the Wizard of Oz in hi-def on September 23, 2009. For just one night, 440 movie theatres nationwide will play the remastered classic.
In addition to the movie, this event will include some behind-the-scenes goodies. This includes a special… Continue
Right when I saw this trailer, I had all these flashbacks of laughing out loud, reading a book by the same name. I remember my sister giving me this book almost a decade ago. It's a story about a horny 14 year old and his quest to lose his virginity. Apparently, Michael Cera is bringing the story back to life with this new movie. If you have some time this Summer and you want to remember what 14 feels like again, I suggest you pick up… Continue

The second trailer for Where the Wild Things Are has just been released. We're eagerly anticipating this movie, which comes out October 16th, because we're excited to see how Spike Jonze's has recreated Maurice Sendak's beloved children's book.

Entertainment Weekly say that District 9, opening August 14th, is "the must-see movie of the summer". Based on the trailers I've seen I tend to agree. This is not your usual sci-fi shoot-em-up. There's no big stars and the budget was only $30 Million. What it does seem to have though is an intelligent story - an allegory about apartheid. I know that I'll definitely be lining up to see this one.
Hop on over to Apple to see the new trailer for The Lovely Bones. Directed by Peter Jackson, the movie centers on a young girl who has been murdered and watches over her family - and her killer - from heaven. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for… Continue

Here's the trailer to Alice in Wonderland. The movie is due for release on March 5, 2010. Apparently Tim Burton was supposed to show this preview tomorrow at San Diego’s Comic-Con but speculation is that it leaked early. Disney forced YouTube to take the video down. Lucky for us, Mashable has pointed us to MSN for the video.
Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter was perfect… Continue

This was too cute of a trailer not to share. Though the movie comes out July 9, 2010 (yes, almost a year from now), we can enjoy a few chuckles now. Called Despicable Me, the story apparently revolves around a criminal mastermind named Groo who has been stealing world landmarks and now also plans to steal the moon. Isn't it interesting that the trailer plays more like a short film than a typical trailer?
The voice cast includes Steve Carrell, Danny… Continue
If you ever had any doubt that Tim Burton wasn't a great storyteller, you haven't seen this older, short film called Vincent. With all that technology out there, a movie's story can often get lost, buried in special effects. It's nice to know that a sweet film like this exists, where a kid's imagination is explored and where, in the first few seconds, you can fall in love with a little boy named Vincent.
The film is a humorous look at a suburban boy named… Continue
We can't believe it's been over 6 months since we first wrote about this movie, The September Issue. The movie gives us a glimpse inside the life of Anna Wintour, the legendary editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine and arguably the most powerful person in fashion today. This delicious trailer was just released. We can't wait for this… Continue

What more can you want from a movie? A great storyline, Martin Scorsese directing, Leo starring and some crazy, freaky supernatural sh**. This is perfection!
“Shutter Island” is the story of two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo), who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the coast of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island’s fortress-like hospital for the… Continue
Walt Disney Pictures has just released the first promotional photos from Tim Burton’s 3D Alice in Wonderland and they couldn't be more fantastic. Johnny Depp stars as the crazy Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as The Red Queen and Anne Hathaway as The White Queen. Aussie actress Mia Wasikowska will take on the role of Alice.
What happens when your soul is stolen? New trailer just came out for Cold Souls.
Here's the synopsis:

Well after having talked about "Home" the wonderful movie about our endangered planet, here is another kind of environment friendly movie: a movie made entirely from recycled parts of public domain b-movies... well the sum of its parts doesn't necessarily make it a better movie but hey, besides the waste of energy to show this "movie", they achieved their goal !!… Continue

Yann Arthus Bertrand, the famous photographer from the "Earth from Above" series of shot (see below) produced a fabulous movie shot from above featuring the most beautiful and also endangered places on earth.
It's a breathtaking movie and also eye-opener regarding our place and impact on this planet and what to do next.
