Fishing for Answers With Artist Kyung Soon Park

Kyung Soon Park is a Korean artist who's work carefully blends both modern and traditional art. As an Asian American, her work resonates with me because it has me thinking about my own cultural heritage - where my parents came from and the struggles they went through to give us a better life. Urban HOTspot - Babe's & Ricky's Inn: Jefferson Park

When I saw that Babe's and Ricky's Inn was rated the #2 nightlife venue in LA on Yelp, I had to see what the commotion was all about. Located in Jefferson Park, it's the oldest blues club in LA and has been around for almost 40 years. Every Monday night is open-mic night, and the band gets continually mixed up as each guitarist, drummer, singer, and harmonica player takes a turn on stage. The cover charge is $8. We got there at 8:30pm, left at… Continue
