As Annie and I were driving around to look for a place to eat in Downtown Vancouver a few months ago, we spotted this hotdog cart with a huge line. The sign on the cart said "Japadog". Could these Japadogs put the infamous LA bacon-wrapped we know and love to shame? And so the love affair began.
The four-story mega-club has opened its doors and it's drawing great reviews. The impressive venue is owned solely by Mike Viscuso who is best known for turning San Diego’s gas lamp district into a booming night life mecca. There is no doubt that the Edison is one of the most dynamic bars in all of Southern California. Previously downtown LA's first private power plant, the Edison provides an industrial rich atmosphere in a world class lounge. As you enter and go down the long grand staircase you get the sense of how large Edison really is. The vast space has plenty of seating, two long bars, and 1920's music accompanied by silent film that is projected onto the walls.… Continue
