This totally cool video covers four semesters of geometry and trig in just over 4 minutes. But that's not what it really is about! Instead it uses the math and the beautiful music to illustrate the emotional relationships between two marbles - one yellow and one blue. The video is by Britta Johnson and th… Continue
I like any well-designed video that gives me a glance at the past and a look into the future. Perhaps that is why I thoroughly enjoyed this video from MAYA design.
"It is widely accepted that in the foreseeable future the worldwide network of computing devices will grow to billions, or even tens of billions of nodes. However, if we broaden our consideration to include networks of information devices (all artificial systems that deal in any way with information), then we ar… Continue

Are you sick of stop-motion videos yet? Yeah, me neither. This video was created as a side project by Isaac Bell, a photographer, editor and designer for DDB London. Spoofed after the Budweiser commercial we wrote about back in July, the video was all shot on digital SLR and took about a month to complete. Asked on YouTube what prompted him to create this, Bell responded, "Mai… Continue

This has to be the sexiest music video ever created! Shot in classic black and white, fashion photographer Victor Del Toro follows around a beautiful model who can't decide whether or not to keep her clothes on. Song is "Say It Ain’t So" by Weezer. Continue
A few cool video that'll make you wish we could fast forward a few years and see print really come alive. We've started to see just the beginning of this kind of technology (Esquire magazine), and I can't wait to see more. This video gets really good around 2:22.

Since most of us only got to see pictures of China's elaborate parade (thanks, Boston Globe!), here's a very cool timelapse video from Dan Chung that will make us feel like we were right in Tiananmen Square. Dan Chung worked his magic for us, giving us a beautiful, amazing and artistic look at this incredible event.

Not since July, when Michael Jackson's memorial tickets were released to a select group, have I seen excitement like this on the web. Earlier this week, Google sent out 100,000 invitations to test out Wave. Over 1 million people applied for a preview of the communication software, which blends elements of IM, email, social networking and collaboration. But what the heck is it… Continue

If you're like me and love the outdoors, this time-lapse video is for you. It features one of my favorite places, Yosemite, as well as California's White Mountains. The sequences, which were all shot on a Canon 5D2 camera, are part of a film entitled “These Short Days” (in production). Directed by Tom from Timescapes, with music by Michael Stearns.

How I would have loved to seen this live! The Dark Room TV, a boutique motion graphics studio, was invited to do some video mapping projections at a secret festival in the North East of England. The theme and logo of the party was the heart. After spending a couple of weeks in the studio, they opened the party with this amazing show. My favorite part? Pac-Man, of course! (See 3:47)
Not sure if I like their style or… Continue

I came across this great video on Vimeo. It was created by Yildy Atkos. The video clips were shot along Ocracoke NC beach and at the US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte NC. The song is "Siempre Me Quedará" by Bebe. This is a great example of the inventive things everyone is doing these days. It seems like the quality of stuff… Continue

This video reminds me that I need to get off my lazy booty and get myself a bike. Really though, I like how it gives you an inside look into Amsterdam's famous bike culture. The video plays more like a Current bit than a commercial. Though it's created by bike manufacturer, Kona Bikes, it never feels like a sales pitch. It's more of a gentle reminder that people from around the world share in the cycling experience.
On a related note,… Continue
