Ko Lanta



Sitting here in a rainstorm in Krabi waiting for the bus, rain drops the size of my fingernails. Ko Phi Phi (prodnounced Ko P P) was awesome, if just a tad touristy. 500 Baht from our our door in Phuket to the beach at Ko Phi Phi. Didn't get out to the cove from The Beach, but it was awesome nonetheless with water as warm as a bath. After that headed to Lanta. Today we'll be headed out to Ko Phi Phi, where parts of The Beach were filmed. For about 500 Baht (a little over ten bucks), we get picked up at the hostel and taken to the piers where a boat will take us out there. I'm sure there are other/better deals, but it's not like savings are being lost here if we screw up once or twice. Ok, got back from Kyoto last night. While it was definitely cool, things got a little hectic. A few must sees were hit. Friday morning we got out to Fushimi Inari (the hike with the red gates), saw another temple (can't recall the name right now), and saw the Gion district at night.

Kyoto so far is killer, and we'll be showing you some of it really soon. First impressions? A lot, almost too much, to see and do, but hitting the essentials (for us at least) in a weekend is, or will be, definitely doable. Regarding the temples, it seems to me more like a personal kind of thing. There isn't only one you HAVE TO to see, but do your research and check out what you think would be cool. Sitting here at work, bored as hell as I fiddle with the cyanide tablet, I figured that as soon as I get home I'll put up another video. Just because. Oh, and check out the forums, because we need more ideas about things to do in Kyoto. After that we'll probably be headed to southern Thailand for a few days, so give us some thoughts on that too! What is up, people? Don't know how often we'll be updating the actual blog, but we'll definitely be putting up photos and videos. If anything earth-shattering happens, obviously we'll let you know.
