R.I.P. Dennis Hopper (Actor, Photographer, Artist)



So Dennis Hopper passed away today at the age of 74 due to complications from prostate cancer. Hopper was a legendary actor who had memorable roles in films like Easy Rider, Blue Velvet and Apocalypse Now. What you might not know is that he was an accomplished photographer and painter with close ties to art legends like Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Willem De Kooning, and Ed Ruscha. Sun Boxes



Sun Boxes are an environment to enter and exit. It’s comprised of twenty speakers operating independently each powered by solar panels. There is a different guitar sample in each box all playing together making the composition. The guitar samples are all of different lengths so the whole piece keeps evolving.
