Ah, just how lovely is this new ad for Hermès Spring/Summer 2010 campaign? Photographer Paolo Roversi shoots model Karlie Kloss as she sleeps like a modern-day princess on a bed of mattresses. I can't help but love how her colorful Hermès scarf is tied beautifully into her braid. Serene and sweet.
Now this is one creative idea! Using the same, minimal graphic elements as you'd see in the classic Monopoly game, McDonald's put up familiar signage and surprised commuters with free parking in lots across Western Canada. Why? To remind people that the Monopoly game is back at McD's.
Got to love the sign, "You've Just Landed on Free Parking" How awesome would it be to see that?

One of the greatest trends to come about in these modern times is artistic wedding photography. Rather than flip through countless photos of stiff people with fake smiles, couples are choosing to change it up. Whether they're utilizing personalized props or are posing in front of meaningful backgrounds, couples are giving us a rare glimpse into their lives. These…

If you liked Alphaville's song Forever Young you'll probably be a fan of Jay-Z's new remixed revision titled Young Forever. The video, shot in black and white, goes back and forth from the street to the stage - a nice reminder of what everyday life looks like from different points of view. Wait for 1:45 when a nice beat comes in!
In order to shed light on the importance of Mexican and Latino immigrant labor on our society, Dulce Pinzón created a series of satirical documentary-style photographs that feature ordinary men and women in their work environments in New York. These are actual immigrants who have put on superhero costumes. The objective?… Continue
Though we often post on modern photographers, I thought I would take a look back this week at some photographers who broke new ground. The ones who took photography to daring new heights.
If you enjoy looking at Hollywood behind-the-scenes, where the director carefully directs his leading actress, where the actress lets out a hearty laugh or where the crew nervously awaits a cue, you have photographer Bob Willoughby to thank. Popular Photography called him "The man who virtually… Continue
As the photographer and the subject, a self-portrait is how you see yourself and how you want others to see you. If you are Suzy Wimbourne from Lancaster, UK you must see yourself as a passionate, creative, and sweet. In her 365 day project on Flickr, she's captured herself in the loveliest of…
Just how did people from around the world celebrate the start of 2010? They gathered in groups large and small experiencing fantastic fireworks displays at night then spent the day doing everything from sprinting into icy cold water for a dive in The North Sea, in the Hague, to trekking to Mount Fuji in the southwest of Tokyo to see the symbol of good luck.…
As silly as it seems that actress Kate Hudson struts her stuff in designer dresses during the day, I can't help but like this refreshing photo shoot by Peter Lindbergh. Perhaps it's the expressions on Kate's face that I enjoy. Photographed by Peter Lindbergh, Kate seems confident, cute and even a little kooky.
Also, I like how Kate is refreshingly honest… Continue
