Before you start busting out your wallet, let me begin by saying that this baby is only a concept (for now). The winner of Tea Off! - The Tea Kettle Competition sponsored by World Kitchen is this beautiful creation called One from Vessel Ideation. The all in one vessel is designed… Continue
Gorgeous 28 year old supermodel Gisele Bundchen graces Vanity Fair's (VF) May 2009 cover. The long legged beauty recently got hitched to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in a private twilight ceremony at a Catholic church in Santa Monica. With an estimated worth of over $150 million, Gisele sets her eyes on a new chapter in her life...one of wife and perhaps,… Continue
This dentist business card design is so sweet it almost gives me a toothache. (Sorry, bad joke.) No really...it's sweeeet. I need to brush my teeth now. (Ok..no more jokes today.)
Love this simple bird pendant light from Perch! Hand-made, white glazed ceramic pendant light depicts a bird in flight. Light comes out of the bottom, wings, and back. Lovely!
One thing's for sure...this isn't your mom's Lladros. Barnaby Barford is an artist who works with ceramics to create modern stories that leave the viewer slightly disturbed. He enjoys taking figurines and turning them into sinister, sardonic but invariably humorous sculptures. His stories… Continue
Elsa Mora was inspired to create these funny flower creations after she found a need to "to stop and become like a child" to "rediscover the world" again as an adult. As we grow older it's easy to forget the sense of wonder we had we when were a child, when nature was asking us to come outside and play. Here's to never forgetting that creativity lives inside all of… Continue
Another luxury hotel just opened in New York, this one called Smyth Tribeca from Thompson Hotels. The 100 guestroom newly constructed building is just minutes from both SOHO and Wall Street on West Broadway and Chambers Street. The rooms promise Kieh's products and pantries stocked with Dean & Deluca snacks. The rooms have walnut paneling, chrome-accented… Continue

If this isn't the most brilliant sticker for your computer I don't know what is. The artwork was lifted off of the DVD cover of Disney's Snow White. After a little modification using Illustrator and Photoshop, it was then printed on an adhesive foil. The creator…Continue
What happens when you take a highly popular old school children's toy and mix it with other pop culture figures? Well, you get something as wacky and weird as Mari Kasurinen's My Little Ponies. For those of us that can remember the early 80's, My Little Pony was a cultural… Continue
If you ever felt alone in a room filled with people, you'll enjoy these photos from Carlo Van de Roer. Van de Roer's carefully watches how people interact with the environment and with each other. Viewed from above, he then sees "patterns and groupings of people" emerge telling an interpretive story. Based on your personal experiences, these pictures will either make… Continue

Sigur Ros - Við spilum endalaust - A Take Away Show from La Blogotheque on Vimeo.
I can't say that I'm a die hard Sigur Ros fan. Months ago I had a young, hip guy friend tell me about this Icelandic group and at that time I only listened to Sigur Ros just long enough to think that sounded like a prettier Bjork with a twist of Coldplay. After doing some… Continue

You're not going to find vampires and zombies in Phil Lumbang's work. In fact, this up and coming Los Angeles artist (and assistant to Shepard Fairey) only wants to create pieces that have a simple and sweet message. But don't think his work doesn't have depth, in fact, you can bet there's a hidden lesson about social change in there. Phil says about his polar bear piece, "The message is clear, a black bear plus a polar bear equals a panda bear and to… Continue

What lies beneath the murky waters? In this set of photos, we explore an underwater world that co-exists with ours but where man is no competition for the sea at large. Where our fears often consume us but where harmony exists, where reason gets thrown out the window and… Continue

Truth be told, I'm a die hard internet junkie. Yes, I know that you've already guessed it...but me and the internet, well it's a mad love affair. That's why I'll only post on television shows or specials when I can honestly say that I can't wait to turn off my Mac (ok fine - put it in sleep mode).
Jim Gaffigan is one of those comedians who really cracks me… Continue
Is it me or does this kind of remind you of Royksopp's Happy Up Here video? Either way, this new ad from Honda gets my vote for cool because it's retro and modern at the same time. Plus I'm a sucker for smiley faces and hearts.
Basically, Honda parked a huge grid of cars in the desert and used the headlights as pixels.
