A few days ago, if you happened to "Google" you might have seen this logo by Jim Lee. The all-star DC Comics artist and Wildstorm Editor illustrated a Justice League version of Google’s main logo, which appears on the search giant’s homepage in celebration of Comic Con in San Diego.
Additionally, Google’s personal homepage service “iGoogle” debuted a group of… Continue

Can you believe that all of these pieces were created just by putting pencil on paper? Courtney Brims is an Australian self-taught artist based in Brisbane who graduated with a degree in interior design before turning her attention to art and illustration in 2008. Amazingly, Courtney works almost only with colored pencils, sketching dreamy worlds of lost girls and…

In this new Coldplay video for Strawberry Swing, we take a journey with Chris Martin. As a modern day superhero, it's no surprise that he saves the girl in the end. What is surprising, is how well done this stop-animation video is. Notice that chalk was used to create these scenes. Of course, you may also notice that they used a lot of the same techniques as you see in videos spread all over the web, but that doesn't take away from the fact that this is a beautiful… Continue
If you have some time today, scroll through Christopher Haines's website to enjoy his amazing, digital artwork. Christopher Haines is a young graphic artist from Australia who, we feel, can somehow look into our future. We were lucky enough to get an interview with Haines to ask him a few… Continue

One of the best things about the internet is that you get to read what inspires creative people. A little part of me gets so excited to share these things, with you, that sometimes I can't type fast enough. Today, I've learned that one of my favorite photographers (and yes, I have many), Rodney Smith, has decided to start his own… Continue

Though most of the time we're featuring new digital or urban art to showcase on theMET, every so often it's nice to remember an older artist who's work is still looked upon as some of the most influential of all time.
It's often stated that Gil Elvgren was and continues to be the best pin-up artist the world has ever known. From the mid 1930's through 1972, Elvgren produced over five hundred paintings of beautiful girls and women…
I know that we're a bit heavy on video posts today but I just have to share this new music video for Kid Cudi's 'Make Her Say' Feat. Kanye West. "Make Her Say" samples an acoustic version of Lady GaGa's smash hit "Poker Face".
"We put a little trick-a-roo on you," Cudi told MTV about the newly-outed video. "We wanted to go for a real abstract and iconic-looking video, something real artsy. It's really dope. It's like split screen, and how he shot it is with… Continue

Anytime an entrepreneur wants to share his story about how he rose to success, I'm all ears. Yesterday, Amazon announced that they were buying shoe company Zappos for $847 million. Instead of a standard letter, Zappos employees got this video from Jeff Bezos. Even if you're not that interested in this acquisition, the video's interesting enough to watch just to hear Jeff talk about what he's learned from the past 15 years at Amazon.
I just love this idea! Rather than those same-old same-old save the date cards, why not have some fun and create a cool video for your friends to watch? If my theory is right, this couple will have a lifetime of happiness ahead of them. My favorite part? The spirit… Continue

Here's the trailer to Alice in Wonderland. The movie is due for release on March 5, 2010. Apparently Tim Burton was supposed to show this preview tomorrow at San Diego’s Comic-Con but speculation is that it leaked early. Disney forced YouTube to take the video down. Lucky for us, Mashable has pointed us to MSN for the video.
Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter was perfect… Continue

Ready to feel like Vinny Chase? HBO and W Hotels are teaming up for an innovative promotion for HBO's "Entourage."
The national campaign, running from July 27-Sept.27, will raise the profile of "Entourage" with branded A-list-type amenities for hotel guests while also creating buzz for the new W South Beach, which opened July 2.
I've always felt that companies who give people an "experience" are the ones that will touch the hearts and open the wallets of their consumers. Rather than slap on a giant billboard in Times Square, show us that you understand our needs, delight us with your creativity and ingenuity.
Toyota has done just that with their solar powered wi-fi stations. As…
