Let the yelling begin! This is my third time at The Nook and before I get into today's review let me begin by saying - BEST MAC N CHEESE EVER - The Nook. But, buyer beware, this place is only as good as you make it.
Bro and I went to The Nook Bistro tonight because I was craving some… Continue

As much as I love interacting with all of you on theMET, a significant portion of my time is spent finding new ways to grow it. Our content is rich, the group we have is solid, so now it's just a matter of good marketing. (And you may remember my mantra - "If the product is good it's a damn shame if people don't know about it.") I've reached out to a lot of new… Continue

Better than the Bill/Jerry commercials but really...how many of these "it's all about you" ad campaigns can there really be? We've already seen it with Gap and American Express (though they concentrate more on famous people)...
I'm a Mac owner...but at my old jobs I was all about the PC - can't we all just get along?…
Who didn't laugh when they saw themselves (or their evil but brilliant boss - *ehem Steve Jobs) as Office Max's hilarious, dancing elf? If you're interested in knowing how sites go viral, join me at this conference that's co-sponsored by USC.
Who?:
Our presenters are experts in viral marketing because they spend their days making sites go… Continue

Bodega Bar is one of those places you go to because:
You live on the Westside, you can't stand the traffic and parking nightmare that is all around West Hollywood, you're done with Main Street in Santa Monica (no more getting in bar fights at Circle Bar or getting your clothes dirty at O'Briens...go ahead call me an elitist), and you have an… Continue

German photographer Martin Klimas is currently exhibiting at the Foley Gallery in NYC. What strikes me most about his photos is that by using strobe lights and one sheet of film he can beautifully capture a moment where the past, present and future collide.
Mario Mariotti (1936-1997) was a conceptual artist who transforms his hands into odd, fantastic creatures. His book "Animani" showcased a great variety of wild animals and birds -- all hands, adorned with a lot of paint, a few toothpicks, string and some button eyes. Not as detailed and refined as Guido Daniele of Milan Italy (see… Continue
DreamWorks has released the trailer for The Soloist. Written by Susannah Grant (Erin Brockovich) and directed by Joe Wright (Atonement), The Soloist tells the true story of Nathaniel Ayers (played by Jamie Foxx), a musical prodigy who developed schizophrenia during his second year at Juilliard School. Ayers became homeless, playing the violin and the cello in the streets of downtown Los Angeles. Robert Downey Jr plays Steve Lopez, a columnist for the Los Angeles Times… Continue

As part of the LACMA's Transformation plan, the LACMA's going through a feasibility study to see if they can put up Jeff Koons's Train—a working replica of a 1943 Baldwin steam locomotive that will dangle from a 161-foot-tall crane outside of the museum. At that… Continue

Lately there's been a number of great boutique and luxury hotels sprouting up in LA. Though I'll always have a place in my heart for the W's, I'm always looking for something new and exciting; a unique experience, design elements that speak to me, subtle details that show me that they care.
The moment you drive up to The London West Hollywood you feel… Continue
Alright, now this idea is great. Death Cab for Cutie (a band which has outright supported Barack Obama) wants all of you (ok maybe not us 30+ yr olds) young college kids to sign up to vote. The incentive? They'll come to your school and put on a concert!…
