Greenville Literacy Association, a group that helps illiterate adult students, are out to promote their "Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale", a fair where books are sold at a bargain price. And what better way to do that than street illusions!
These are miniature pencil sculptures, sculpted by Dalton Ghetti from Bridgeport. The 45 year old only uses a blade, a sewing needle and very bright light, all without the use of a magnifying glass! Dalton Ghetti has been patiently carving miniature pieces of sculpted art on pencils for the past 25 years, and one tiny carved sculpture can take several months whereas a larger creation can take 2 1/2 years.…
Before you watch Inception, be sure to keep an open mind and expect lots of plot twists and complex storylines, that will keep you begging for more! All I can say is, when the story progressed, it kept getting intense every minute, all the way till the end, and I applaud Christopher Nolan, for coming up with this priceless jewel of a movie he called Inception. One of his finest, definitely!
I had been waiting for this movie for ages, as soon…
I have been taking note of this particular photographer for quite a while, as I have mentioned in my older post, and I shall not contradict any longer. Let me present you, Andreea Retinschi from Bucharest, Romania; better known as… Continue
Pretty aren't they? Well, what you're looking at aren't a kind of surreal rainbow coloured clams, or rainbow coloured lake, but actually a large scale sea made up of 600,000 unwanted discs to create that glittering reflected rainbow effect. Well, that's one way of recycling cds.
Bruce Munro, with the help of UK press and BBC Wiltshire radio, urged readers and listeners to send in their discs to his workshop, and the response was massive, and… Continue
You must have heard of Nick Vujicic, the man with no limbs, and his inspirational/motivational talks that gets you going, especially when you're down in life. Well, he has partnered with Hyundai, and he is giving another of his wonderful message of hope and his thoughts regarding the FIFA World Cup 2010.
I am loving Ah&Oh's attempt for children educational toy designs, Youniq, and seriously, I think they're great! I could totally picture them in kids stores, or in pre-schools, and they could do wonders for my two lovely nieces Delene and Deanna.

Clever, oh so clever. I was so impressed when I saw this, and couldn't believe how clever the campaign is. To prove the point of being "Nimble as a Mouse", they use the Toyota iQ as a mouse to control the cursor on a 'large scale projected computer screen'. Brilliant.

I absolutely ADORE these! Beautiful and yummy items made from edible elements by award winning photographer Fulvio Bonavia for his latest book “A Matter of Taste”. I would NOT mind owning these if they ever come into production! Clever and effective use of food(and flowers from his other book Scent of Flower) to execute one of a kind fashion items.…
Ever thought pancakes to be forms of art, and oh-so delicious at the same time? Here's an amazing treat(pun intended!) Presenting, Jim's Pancakes! I thought it was a sweet thing to do of Jim, to create artistic pancakes for his 3 year old daughter Allison. She seemed to love em, and I(along…
When Five Fell is a touching short film written and directed by Wesley Chan of Wong Fu Productions and it tells the tale of five inanimate objects that has fallen in and out of love with their owner, when she has fallen for someone else.
"When Five Fell" is a new take on the ideal boy-meets-girl love story. Although the short is told from a unique and unconventional perspective, the… Continue

Yue Su's from Dallan, China and I love her series of peace signs, all made up of random graphics. Pretty clever in my opinion.

How genius is this? Using 'wearable lettering's, you can create letters just by flexing your body and if you are joined with a number of people, you can create words. What a way to innovate typography, using live human forms as your typeface!
"Using the human body as a message display facility is a way of evading a tax on advertising by making it mobile, but also by using the humanity of the subject and its “freedom of speech” as a legal… Continue

Peruvian filmmaker Ricardo de Montreuil made this short film The Raven on a budget of only $5,000! It is based on a treatment for a potential film trilogy. For a short sci-fi thriller, this actually looks pretty good and top notch. I will be looking forward to the… Continue
