Olga Kurylenko, born November 14, 1979, is a Ukrainian model and actress. While I can dig the Eastern European look, I'm not completely sold on the new Bond girl. Help me out, do you think she is hot or not?…

Obama who? The United States was not the only country to name a new leader this week. In Bhutan, a nation of about 600,000 people located high in the Himalayas, a new king was crowned. 28-year-old Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, an Oxford-educated bachelor, was crowned as Bhutan's fifth king - now the world's youngest reigning monarch. Bhutan also has the distinction of being the world's youngest democracy - having held parliamentary elections last March for the first time ever. The young ruler…

"Animal Behavior: All Other Animals" Winner
I guess these guys just can't get along. "Deadlock" was captured in the dead of night in a Belizean rain forest by David Maitland of the UK. A rare Morelet's tree frog doggedly refused to become dinner for a cat-eyed snake. "I would love to have seen them go their separate ways, but I was exhausted," the…

Wonder how stable this building will be. MVRDV and co-architects ADEPT have won a competition to design a new tower in Copenhagen, Denmark. Sky Village is a 116 meter tall tower which combines single family homes and skyscraper to create a vertical village. In historic fashion yesterday, Senator Barack Obama became President-Elect of the United States of America with a 52% majority in the popular vote, and more than 349 electoral votes. John McCain conceded graciously at 11:20 pm eastern last night.

I just love Robin Soulier's perspective in his photos. He takes pictures of puddles around the world, capturing striking images reflecting on the surface of water. The pictures do throw the viewer off somewhat - it’s difficult to work out where the puddle ends and the landscape begins.…

In the eastern mountains of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo), a rebel army led by Laurent Nkunda - a former General of the DR Congo armed forces - recently launched attacks and captured territory after a peace treaty had failed with the government. Nkunda's forces are Tutsi rebels, fighting against the DR Congo government forces and U.N. peacekeeeping forces. The U.N. has over 17,000 troops in the Congo right now, but they are widely dispersed, and have been unable to fully…

Although it isn't photography in its purest form, I love the way HDR can really accentuate a photo.
Wiki's explanation of HDR: "In computer graphics and photography, high dynamic range imaging (HDR or HDRI) is a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic range of exposures (the range of values between light and dark areas) than normal digital…

It's just not fair. Lamborghini gave this special gift to the police of Bologna, Italy. The local cops refer to it as a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia Stradale.

Little Friend - Plock & Tunstall

There's something really fun, happy, and abstract about the work of Ferris Plock and Kerry Tunstall. I think I like it because it reminds me of the doodles I would make when I was back in school. If you happen to Denver, their show "Reconstruction" is currently open to the public at the Limited Addiction Gallery.…

The more I look at Ron English's work, the more it grows on me. I think it's amazing how he's able to seamlessly blend old school European art with current pop culture. The opening reception for his show,
The Secret History of Kiss, is set for Saturday November 1st, from 7pm-11pm at The Shooting Gallery in San Francisco. The solo exhibit runs through December 6th…
