Slap me silly, maybe I can be a vegetarian! Portobello redhead at Veggie Planet, Cambridge MA.

Now let's get one thing straight. I am a hardcore carnivore. I have never tried to be a vegetarian bc it just never seemed appealing. I know there are great reasons to become one but really how can you deny yourself a big ol juicy steak?

However. If you can make a delicious meal that makes me forget about that big fat juicy steak, you have me!

Veggie Planet is down a small street below ground level and hot diggity damn it has THE BEST VEGGIE DISH OF ALL DISHES...the portobello redhead! Seared portobellos topped with a roasted red pepper almond sauce, browned onions and feta!

I am actually going to attempt to make this dish at home bc it was so good! Here's how to make the roasted red pepper almond sauce.

Sam got it and we had to get another to go, it was THAT good.
If you are ever in the area, you must try out this dish!

Here's a few girls that we met while standing in line. They had just left Austin, TX a few months ago to try out life on the east coast! Ah to be young!

One of the owners to this little restaurant, Didi Emmons, also wrote a cookbook that got some solid reviews.

ok, so the pic really doesn't look appetizing at all, in fact it looks kinda disgusting, but I can vouch for the tastiness. It was muy yummy!
